Good Vegan Spot! - Edit
Planta Miami is stylish and trendy. The spicy tuna sushi was amazing - you’d never guess it’s vegan. The summer rolls weren’t my favorite since the cabbage was slimey but they were healthy. The house burger was decent, with the cheese and sauce making it better. The spaghettini carbonara was tasty, and my friend really enjoyed it. The fries were just okay, nothing special.
Read moreI really appreciated how seriously the staff took my friend’s nut allergy. They were super careful and accommodating, which was great to see.
A nice perk is that if you use the InKind app, you can get $25-$30 off your first bill.
Would I return? Probably, especially for the sushi. 😋

Before our vacation flight home we took a bus ride to south beach just to eat lunch at Planta. I wimped out and ordered the reuben with ceasar side salad, wife ordered chick'n salad. Fried mushrooms for appetizer and a Rosarita cocktail. I wish we'd waited until happy hour and could have saved a small fortune. The place is pricey$$$. Reuben was very good but ceasar side salad was horrible. Repeat, horrible. Should've had fries. Anything would have tasted better. Chick'n salad was big and was tasty. Fried mushrooms were ok but not great and not worth $$. Rosarita cocktail was great but overpriced. Wish we'd come during happy hour for more of those. Service was pleasant and venue is very nice -- except for the disgusting gag-inducing stains on some of the windows that look like giant bird poop skidmarks. I can't understand why management hasn't done something about that. They could easily cover those portions of the windows on the inside with a graphic or something without sacrificing any light, good views or ambiance. Anyway, overall I'm glad we went, but we could have stayed in Miami or tried another place in south beach and easily had as good a meal and experience for much less.

Very tasty! - Edit
Everything was very tasty. I online have a little criticism to the fact that a lot of dishes were unavailable at request.

Overpriced and mediocre - Edit
Had the chorizo pizza which was fine. The potato was undercooked and lacking flavour but the cheese was nice. The bang bang broccoli was just battered broccoli with sauces on the side. Then the chicken and waffles were spicy but bland at the same time. Probably wouldn't order again.

Expensive and under delivered - Edit
Got the chicken waffles which were interestingly spicy whilst equally bland and flavourless. The "chicken" was mushroom which was both unseasoned and badly battered - it came across like a failed tempura attempt. Bang bang broccoli was not even vaguely reminiscent of bang bang anything unfortunately.

We made it a point to stop here on our trip to Miami because of the reviews. The food was good but overpriced. There is no parking, the server was inattentive, the restaurant was uncomfortably hot and the bathrooms were disgusting with no toilet paper in the stalls and pee on the seat. The positive was that both of my kids who are not vegan were able to find meals they were happy with. I just think that for a place selling $15 kids meals, apps and dessert and $25 entrees they could do better.

Underwhelming - Edit
My second time at a PLANTA and was underwhelmed this time around. We ordered crunchy rice appetizer, which was delicious. The entrees were not so good, chicken sandwich and carbonara. The carbonara was overly salty and chicken in the sandwich had a wet cardboard kind of texture. Cocktails were pretty good. Staff and atmosphere were nice.

Vegan gem in Miami Beach - Edit
After struggling to find even restaurants with vegan options in the Miami Beach area, it was refreshing to find a place like PLANTA. I had been to PLANTA Queen earlier, and was excited to see a slightly different menu here because I wanted to try different items. Food was wonderful, I don’t think you could go wrong with anything here! Also appreciated the atmosphere, fairly quiet and peaceful, lots of greens decorating in and outside the restaurant.

Good food - Service was Bad - Edit
They gave us one meal directly after ordering and brought the second one way later… we couldn‘t eat together and as the cherry on top they brought us the starter after both meals…

Not to miss! - Edit
Let me confirm I never usually eat sushi and pizza at the same time. But everything was so good, we didn't limit ourselves to only one type of food. Crispy rice was a personal favourite and the desserts are out of this world.

We split the tofu lettuce wraps (self assemble), sushi, pizza and spinach artichoke dip. Everything was super tasty, our server was friendly and helpful, and the dining was lovely. We’d go back for sure!

Das Ambiente war zwar herausragend, aber die Gerichte und Getränke kamen hier leider nicht heran. Wenig gewürzt und relativ kleine Portionen für den verlangten Preis.

Although the ambience was outstanding, the dishes and drinks were unfortunately not up to scratch. Little seasoning and relatively small portions for the price charged.

Out of body nachos experience - Edit
It’s unfortunate this isn’t closer to me, but better for my wallet I suppose. Everything I ordered was top notch. I had the nachos, lobster roll, crispy rice appetizer, and key lime cheesecake. The nachos I will dream about for the rest of my life. Amazing food, location, and service!

Everything Is Fried - Edit
I eat here often because it is conveniently located and literally the only vegan dinner option on my route. As someone who doesn’t eat fried food, there’s only a few options. Thankfully their planta burger is a lentil, quinoa, mushroom patty and it’s delicious. I don’t like to eat bread, but it’s just not really enjoyable without the bun. You can also opt to get this with a side salad, which is actually tastier than anything else on the whole menu. The spicy lumacomi pasta is delicious and has a gluten free noodle option which I always get, but not a single vegetable in the whole dish. It’s literally just noodles and sauce for $25. The other thing I like on the menu is the sushi. Again an indulgence because I don’t usually eat rice, but a few of the rolls are really great, like the spicy tuna roll and the eggplant unagi is bomb. They just put a new roll on the menu, the firecracker roll, and the fried aspect of that is fried potato straws on top, so you can get that without them, but it’s just ok. The salads are not that great and really pricy. Same with the pizzas. They’re just ok and they’re stingy with toppings, which is the whole point of pizza. You get a plate of bread with some sauce, some dollops of cashew cheese (which is delicious but so sparse), and a few other toppings and it just leaves you feeling gypped. They also just raised their prices for maki Mondays. The only other vegan spot in the neighborhood that has healthy choices closes at 6, so for dinner this is literally the only option. I would give them 5 stars if they varied their menu and gave us some vegetables. There’s almost nothing green on the whole menu. Like make me a lentil and roasted veggies dish or some sautéed greens or SOMETHING. Just not a fancy atmosphere and fried everything. This is a big chain restaurant, so they’re all over the Miami area and other cities. This city is in desperate need of some healthy vegan restaurants.

Great spot - Edit
So I am dismayed by the lack of veg places in Miami. Somehow I was thinking it was going to be like LA. I was so wrong. So I was thrilled to find Planta which is the only great vegan restaurant in Miami. The food and ambiance is great. Definitely expensive, but everything in Miami is. I wasn’t able to take photos as the presentation could have been better, but that doesn’t matter when the food is delicious. A must-go.

Beautiful place, very nice staff. Their food is incredibly delicious. We had the carbonara pastas (ask without chili) and omg, the eggplant lasagnas and the burger with the cesar salad were also amazing. And the desserts… the brownie is to die for with the chocolate coulis on top, the cookie is huge, they were both delicious. A bit pricey but you won’t regret it.
