Always A Must, When In O.B.! - Edit
Plant Power Fast Food is always a must when I’m in or near-by Ocean Beach! The whole menu is really good! My go to has been the Big Zac Burger! Yes, the Big Zac burger which highly resembles the McDonald’s Big Mac but knowing that the Big Zac is made entirely without the use of animal products makes this burger that much better! Also, the Cookies & Cream Milkshake from Plant Power reminds me of the Oreo Cookie Shake I used to order at Jack in the Box when I was younger. But these milkshakes from PPFF use soy-based vanilla ice ‘cream’ blended with oat milk. This fast food restaurant deserves five stars! Will continue to return.

Plant Power Fast Food - Edit
OMFG. When I first ate here, I died and went to vegan heaven. Did you know that the real name of heaven is actually Plant Power Fast Food? I didn't either. Mind blown.
Read morePPFF is a super cute vegan fast food joint that includes a drive up section where you can order your food from your car (or you can eat inside the restaurant). The menu is extensive and prices are completely reasonable too.
I had read about the Big Zac on Veg News and ordered it immediately. I also ordered a matcha milkshake and my bf ordered a chicken patty sandwich (not fried) with voodoo fries. The Big Zac was so delicious. This burger was supposed to resemble the infamous Big Mac, though I had never had real Big Mac before (as I've been vegetarian since age four and vegan for 13+ years now) so I can't compare it; however, my bf said it was pretty close to the original (but meat-free of course). The Big Wac from Green in Arizona is still my #1, but Big Zac is definitely a top contender coming in at #2.
The matcha milkshake was excellent, I loved it. My bf's chicken sandwich was boring and would have been much better fried. I'd suggest skipping the voodoo fries too, they were OK and I felt my calories could have been better spent elsewhere, like on another Big Zac!
We also returned the next day for breakfast before a hike. I had a Canadian bacon egg sandwich, it was good and under $6. I also ordered hashbrowns as well and they weren't worth the cost/calories...they were seriously the rectangular hashbrowns you could buy in the freezer section of the grocery store. PPFF should consider making real hashbrowns.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! - Edit
This food was amazing! My family and friends enjoyed their food! Even my friends who aren't vegan loved it! We had the Holy Guacamole burger, the Rambler burger, the chicken burger, the Classic burger, chilli cheese fries, and 2 kids meal burgers. We also shared a delicious stawberry milkshake amd some yummy ice cream! The employees were super kind and friendly! Everything tasted fresh, delicious, and healthy! I hope a Plant Power will open in Santa Maria☆

Essential San Diego - Edit
One of my three fave places in San Diego, and a must-try if you’re in town. The Big Zack leaves me craving it even months later, and the Blueberry Soda is like no other drink I’ve ever had. Delicious, great service, and friendly staff.

Big Zack - Edit
I love the Big Zack and fries. Pure unadulterated joy. I've had several of their special burgers but Zack always comes out on top. They're all great though and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Flavorful! Favorite burger spot. - Edit
An awesome burger spot! I ordered their holy guacamole burger, buffalo wings, and iconic fries. The holy guacamole burger was tasty and well put together - I'd definitely get this again. Their iconic fries were also delicious. The American "cheese" was actually melted, the secret sauce was bomb, and the caramelized onions gave the fries the perfect oomph. The buffalo wings were too saucy and grainy for me and more like tenders. The ranch was good and helped cut the sauciness.

Was alright - Edit
Only my husband ordered from here but I had a bite of both the items he ordered. I’m not really into this type of food so it’s about a 2.5-3 for me. My husband said he’d give it a 4.
Read moreHe ordered the classic ‘bacon cheeseburger’, ‘chicken’ nuggets, kale slaw, strawberry old fashioned milkshake.
It’s great that this place is available as an alternative to regular fast food chains and I appreciate it for that

Good vegan fast food - Edit
This is a great spot when you want some really good vegan fast food. Had a Rambler burger and fries. It was very yummy and so convenient to order and pickup. There was something about the fries that I found to be better than other restaurants too. I can't pinpoint exactly what I liked better than the others but they were very appetizing. Will be trying the fish sandwich and shake next time.

The Perfect Comfort Food - Edit
The Big Zac is a vegan alternative to a McDonalds Big Mac, which is worth the trade. The chicken fingers and all dipping sauces are a perfect marriage. The Fish Filet is exquisite. The peanut butter shake is to die for; the classic vanilla will satisfy any vegan or meat-eaters craving for a shake. During my first time in San Diego, I went for three days in a row! On the third day, I was sure to arrive before 11 AM to try breakfast. All I have to say is YES, YES and YES again! Get you a sausage, egg, and cheese, a breakfast burrito, or the chicken and waffle sandwich if you’d like to fly to heaven early!
Read morePros: Lots of Vegan Options., Great for meat-eaters looking to convert., Awesome staff.
Cons: Breakfast ends at 11AM.

Plant Power is my cocaine, too! - Edit
I was looking for a place to eat at here in San Diego and the first review I read (the one right before this one) about this place stated “Plant Power is my cocaine”. I’m not a drug user, but how could I turndown food being compared to the ultra addictive stimulant cocaine?
Read morePrior to becoming vegan, I loved McDonalds breakfast (that’s the only thing about McDonald’s food I will admit is legit) so I planned to visit Plant Power during their breakfast hours. I ordered the sausage egg sandwich, the chicken and waffles sandwich, and a hash brown. The sausage and egg sandwich was delicious and reminded me of a McDonald’s breakfast sandwich. The chicken and waffle sandwich, though! Oh man! That maple aioli they put on it is magical. The chicken is nice and crispy and I honestly believe if you gave it to a non-vegan they wouldn’t know the difference.
Needless to say, Plant Powered, you have gained a fan. Luckily I don’t live in San Diego or else rehab may be in my future.
Pros: All vegan , Delicious

Cleaner Fast Food - Edit
Since my husband and I went vegan, taking my vegetarian mom to Ruby’s Diner for a veggie patty and milkshakes was no longer an option. I was looking for a decent alternative. Plant Power is it. The burgers are flavorful and satisfying without being greasy. My mom couldn’t stop raving about the fries. The chocolate milkshake was delish. And I must say that the employees are friendly and patient.
