Best in London - Edit
I have had several of the menu items (Western, apple/brie grilled cheese, bangers and mash, Jamaican patties, etc.) and haven’t found one that isn’t excellent.

Pros: Delicious, Good variety, Good location

Drove across town to come to restaurant - Edit
Kind of a bummer that we drove across town for 30 minutes to come to the restaurant that clearly states the hours are until 9 PM. We arrived a few minutes before 8 PM, and the server informed us that they would not be able to have service, and that the kitchen was closed. I asked if there was anything that we could take away and the response was no there was nothing we can do, the kitchen closes in eight minutes and that unfortunately, we are not going to be served. A suggestion, a drink, and a dessert could’ve been taken away and some service rendered within the time of your supposed hours.
Read morePros: Nothing, service was not inspiring at all
Cons: Unwillingness to solve a problem.

Plant Matter, as far as I know, has never been open until 9pm, and their website posts hours. The latest they are open is 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. I would encourage you to give them another shot, as they have the best vegan food in London.

Good brunch - Edit
I had a fantastic brunch experience! The service was top-notch, and the server was super friendly and knowledgeable.
Read moreThe manager or owner suggested a special dish that wasn’t on the menu but was a must-try brunch item. It was a delicious plant-based poached egg-like meal. I ordered two, one to enjoy there and another to take home.

Our favourite place in London. We came here for lunch twice on this trip and had great food and service both times.

Wonderful service and food even near closing time - Edit
Our group of 5 - all vegan activists - were travelling through London and scheduled to arrive right when last orders were taken. PMK not only gladly took our reservation but also our phoned-in orders. They happily took drink and dessert orders after we were seated. Service was perfect and our meals were flavourful, filling, and nicely presented.

Service above and beyond - Edit
We were passing through London on our way to Niagara Falls, looking for a dog-friendly place with good vegan food. Based on reviews, we decided to stop at this wonderful restaurant in this charming (and hopping) neighborhood.
Read moreThe food was excellent! We especially enjoyed the beef bourguignon and the brie en croûte (although the brie could have been just a tad more melted). My oat latte was superb.
But the thing that made our visit particularly special was the service. I called ahead to see if they had a patio so we could dine with our dog. I was told that although they have a sidewalk patio, it was closed because of inclement weather, but if we were willing to chance the weather, they would set up a table outside so we'd be able to dine with our pup. We showed up and they pulled a table outside, and the server was a good sport about serving us in very windy weather. At least the rain stayed away!
Pros: Exceptionally helpful staff, great comfort food, smooth, delicious coffee
Cons: Parking can be challenging, but don't be deterred

A must visit! - Edit
Even if it’s a bit out of your way, make this your meal destination! We went for lunch and it was busy (good for them!). They have a special and a soup every day then the lunch and dinner and brunch menus. Everything was delicious and I loved the bright, contemporary but cozy dining room. Highly recommend!

Exciting Empanadas - Edit
We went on a Friday night- had booked a table in advance. We were seated relatively quickly and our server was patient while we decided on something to eat- so many good looking options! We settled on the Empanadas and the Sliders and they did not disappoint. Plenty of sauce on the Empanadas and we knew we'd be full as we'd each had a large lunch. Naturally we packed up a slider and ordered chocolate cake- an excellent choice. Would come back or order from the takeout menu.

Good brunch! - Edit
We got a bagel sandwich and hangry burrito. The bagel sandwich was excellent, the burrito was good, but not to my taste. Good components, but too many mushrooms (I'd order without next time). It came with a sauce to make it a wet burrito, but it just tasted like marinara to me. Not Mexican at all. Great potato wedges!

We have gone here so so many times, and the past year it just seems tired and lacking. Its the landmark Vegan spot in London and was really good for so long, but it is not as it was sadly.
Read moreThe food lacks lustre now, the best servers are gone, and they really need to update the decor. For the cost of things these days, we expect more.

Great choice for vegan! - Edit
We visited the restaurant on Sunday July 18 for lunch, as we had eaten three orders of delicious dumplings from their Victoria Park kiosque during the Home County festival. Elyse and Roula there convinced us and we were very happy with the meal: empanadas, taquitos, a Buffalo cauliflower wrap, and a surprise of escargot style mushrooms - thanks to Roula and Elyse😃
Read moreWe particularly liked the mushrooms - best we have ever tasted!!! The taquitos we're also delicious and flavourful. We'd only suggest more hot spice for the wrap, but that's because we like wraps spicy;-)
Enjoy this gem of a place, and strolling around Wortley Village afterwards.
Pros: Wide variety on menu, Table service was great , Food was delicious

Aceptable - Edit
Used to be awesome. Went down a few notches. They gave a raw beyond burger. After complaining the manager gave me a free beyond burger for later, which I get the next day. I asked to make sure it was pretty crisp. Unfortunately it was almost raw again. Not sure what happened. Will give it another try for old time sakes.
