Amazing delicious food - Edit
All vegan cafe (except dairy milk for drinks) with a great choice of food and drink. Had soup and sandwich followed by the most amazing ginger cake and a delicious hot chocolate for only £28 for two

Great experience - Edit
Really enjoyed the wide range of options here, and it’s a very cute little cafe. We had the lasagne (special for the day) and the all day breakfast and both were delicious. Sadly no room left to try any cake!

Kitchen closes at 3 pm, not 5 pm! - Edit
Just thought I'd let people know that I went to eat at Kat's Kitchen over the weekend and the kitchen stops serving food at 3 pm, not 5 pm as advertised on HappyCow. They will continue to serve cakes and drinks til 5, just not food. I arrived at 4:30 for an early dinner and was a little disappointed. Stayed for a drink though which was nice. A cute place and accepts dogs, which is always a bonus!

Delicious vegan food 😋 - Edit
We stopped here for a light lunch and the food was delicious. The best vegan blt I've had. Would definitely recommend the food. Service was also good. The only negative for me was the messy feel it had.

Wonderful food - great with allergies - Edit
As a severe nut allergy sufferers eating out as a vegan is always something of a worry. Kats Kitchen were supremely helpful and even came to our table with the allergy book to check a number of things after we had ordered. Lovely gourmet roll and a soya latte with divine coffee cake to finish. Can thoroughly recommend this little gem!

Brilliant Vegan Cafe. - Edit
We were delighted with Kat's Kitchen, and ate lunch there all three days we stayed in Keswick. It was a short walk from Hazelmere Vegetarian Guest House where we stayed, and the owner recommended it to us when we checked in.
Read moreThe BLT, Sausage Ciabatta, Mac and Cheese and Halloumi Burger were all very good. We also indulged in the ice cream twice. It's quite a busy cafe and clearly has a good reputation. They have recently begun opening for dinner two days a week.

This cafe was perfect - everything on the menu is vegan, we particularly enjoyed the vegan breakfast, the sausage ciabatta and the chocolate icecream, as well as the "Purple One" smoothie. Best place to eat veggie in Keswick by far.

Absolutely brilliant - Edit
I took my vegetarian daughter here for breakfast. (I am vegan). She was pleased to be able to have her drink with semi-skimmed milk. I was delighted that that was the only thing on the menu that wasn't vegan. It really should be listed as vegan! Amazing menu. We had the tastiest, yummiest all day breakfast. I will be back again as often as I can for a try of everything else on the menu, including the delicious cakes. Well done for serving gorgeous vegan food. Thank you

Only the provision of cows milk for drinks prevents from being 100% Vegan. Great discovery I had a lovely lentil dhal with rice a salad and my wife have a shepherdess pie and we both enjoyed them. Too full to try the cakes but they looked very nice.

It was good - Edit
I've been here quite a few times now, and it has a big menu, lots of option, and lots of variety. The food is good. Presentation is generally good too. The staff are friendly enough. And there is a lovely atmosphere, it's great place to visit after a walk. Although sometimes it can be a little hit or miss as I have had a bad experience here before, but that may just have been bad luck.

Great place - Edit
Me and my mother came here for lunch today which I was quite excited for. The cafe is really nicely decorated and has a very relaxing atmosphere.
Read moreWe went to sit upstairs and the service did seem a little slow despite no other customers being there, but it wasn't too bad.
I got a lentil goulash with garlic bread which was £7.95 and my mum got a sausage ciabatta with fried onions/tomatoes which was £5 something. Both of our meals were delicious and were decent portion sizes for the price. The food came really quick after we ordered (just took a while to order, ha).
Then I also got a cake because I heard great things about it, and got a slice of victoria sponge cake. Unfortunately, I didn't think it was that tasty. It was quite grainy and not very light and fluffy like you would expect cake to be. That might be due to the fact it was gluten free, I'm just thinking perhaps if they used regular flour but kept the cake vegan of course it would be better, but obviously that's just one of the many cakes so who knows.
Overall it was a really nice lunch and we'll come again if we ever find ourselves in Keswick again (we're from Ulverston so it's a bit of a drive haha).
Pros: Good variety of vegan options, Delicious garlic bread and ciabatta, Nicely decorated
Cons: Slightly slow service at beginning, Not great cake

Great for vegans - Edit
I have been here on a number of occasions and there are loads of vegan options. The main meals are nice but could may be do with a bit more seasoning at times. The prices are standard and some are cheaper than normal. I always get cake aswell and it's usually excellent, but today it was overdone and had a burnt taste to it, which was a real shame. Despite a few little improvements, I will still visit and still recommend the place to anyone. Quick service and big portions.
Read morePros: Lots of vegan options including cake, Cheap , Quick service
Cons: A bit more flavour/seasoning is sometimes needed
