Quick delicious bowls and friendly service - Edit
We had a breakfast bowl and a Buddha bowl, both were tasty - not huge portions but what you’d expect these days for a $15 vegan bowl.

Hard to Find - Edit
Small but good menu! The Buffalo Cauliflower Wrap and Chickpea Sourdough “Toona” melt were really tasty. The salad portions were a bit small so if you get that think about an additional side. We did walk right past it initially. There were no visible signs; you almost needed to know where it was. For those of you heading that way, they are up the stairs from Lanikai Brewing Company in Kailua. Enjoy.

Great place to go to if you are going to the Kailua beaches or around that area. Loved everything we had, very fresh and well made dishes. Not a ton of seating.

Yoga Studio first > then cafe - Edit
Not too many vegan options in this part of Hawaii which is why we checked it out. They are a yoga studio, yoga boutique, and then a quick bite cafe - probably in that order. There are a few smoothie options which we didn’t try, but we did have the veggie bagel (veggies cream cheese) and veggie sandwich (more veggies avocado). Nothing special, but nothing bad either. It felt more like a place to stop after yoga class for a quick bite, rather than to go out of your way to go. The food was simple which makes sense as the front desk clerk is also the one preparing your food. The food felt like something that I can make at home. I prefer eating out for some great meals opposed to eating out for convenience.

Really wanted to love this… - Edit
Wanted to support a local all vegan place, but this place missed the mark. Really cute yoga studio with a fantastic selection of things to shop for, but that’s about all we enjoyed. We ordered a smoothie, a smoothie bowl & avocado toast & it took an hour to receive despite the kind girl saying it’ll take 10 minutes.
Read moreThere was only one person working & she did have one table of 3 before us, but taking an hour for smoothies & a really sad piece of avocado toast is not okay. The toast wasn’t toasted enough & the toppings looked unappetizing. Lackluster experience for almost $40. Needs more staff working or less complicated orders if it takes an hour to get smoothies and toast.
Pros: Good shopping to browse while you wait, All vegan
Cons: Long wait times, Lackluster food, Hard to park

Quaint Spot - Edit
Location: Up the stairs and inside Yoga under the Palms! Order counter is on your right. Recommend NOT parking in their very tiny parking lot… it’s not fun to get out of there. Just shoot for street parking if you can :)
Read moreOrdered the Lox Bagel and breakfast item. It was okay- the best part was definitely the cream cheese! Otherwise, it was really watery which made it difficult to eat. I also ordered a chai, they didn’t strain the tea and completely forgot about my order despite coming back after we ordered asking if I wanted hot or cold. We got the vegan Twix bars which were very good but far too pricey for how tiny they were.
I was sitting at a table when staff from Yoga Under the Palms just threw their stuff on the table despite me sitting there with my baby, she didn’t say a word to me and then just sat at the other table. I thought it was rather rude and def contributed to an overall subpar experience. Despite all this, they’ve made the location very cute and once you get off the bustling street, they’ve created a calming environment. Hope that we will have a better experience next time!

Has the breakfast sandwich and the toona sandwich. Both were awesome. The golden milk was also very tasty and I don’t usually like golden milk drinks. They don’t have a ton of dine in seating but what they do have is very cute. You can also shop for work out clothes while you wait.

Best Vegan Food In O’ahu - Edit
If you’re looking for an awesome vegan restaurant with tons of fresh mouthwatering flavors, not greasy, and great customer service; look no further!!! Plant based paradise has an artfully crafted menu for everyone! I’ve tried a few items off of their menu (I plan to try every single one) their B.L.A.T keeps me going back for more it is my favorite item on the menu so far which is very hard to pick a favorite. Their falafel bowl and big breakfast sandwich are amazing too. Also try their greens and berries smoothie it’s not on the menu but they’ll know what you’re talking about AMAZING!!!

Out of the way spot for vegan dining - Edit
Paradise Under the Palms is located on the second floor, inside a yoga studio. The menu, while limited, is entirely plant based. Currently open for breakfast and lunch with thoughts of expanding to evening hours.
Read moreThe two of us enjoyed the Gratitude Bowl and the Big Breakfast Sandwich. Both were delicious, although the tofu scramble in the sandwich was just a tad salty for my taste ( but I use very little salt). We also each had oat milk lattes. Total for two about $36, so a bit high but not that high for Oahu.
There is very limited seating so this is probably more suited to take out. There is a tiny lanai but, as it had just rained, the young lady at the counter, pulled chairs over to the lone inside table. We kept the slider to the lanai open and the music from the CrossFit studio was fairly loud, and definitely not fitting with the yoga “vibe”. It didn’t bother us so we just left the slider open for the breeze.
The yoga studio does allow walk-ins, so you could always combine a session with your meal.
Definitely worth the visit!
