Great selection

It's amazing to see complete vegan shops! This shop has a great selection of vegan cheeses, meat, and other essentials.

Tienda de referencia

De las tiendas más antiguas y completas de Madrid de productos veganos ya preparados. Para darte algún capricho (ya conocemos todos la tasa de la etiqueta "vegano"). El trato depende del día.

Vegan shop

This placehas a lot of options. I don’t find the staff very helpful and I also get the feeling like they feel they are superior which I don’t feel is very helpful for promoting veganism. I like the fact they have some organic products. The tofu jerky is really nice and they have cheeses specially made.

Every expensive

Very small shop. Prices are way too high in comparison to any similar shop I have visited in Europe. They don't accept credit card for expenses under a certain amount.

Cons: very small

Very well stocked small all vegan store

I live in the US, but have family in Madrid so I come here every two to three years and always come to shop at this store. It has a surprisingly wide variety of products for such a small place. The staff is very helpful and it’s great to be able to shop at and support an all vegan store.

Pros: Wide variety of products, Friendly and helpful staff

Cons: Small

Vegan groceries!

We stopped into Planeta Vegano twice to stock up on snacks. Unfortunately, this is more like a regular grocery store and doesn't have a lot of snacking options; we picked up some Cliff bar type things and chocolate. Great to have this option in Madrid!

Pros: All vegan!

Most stocked store in the capital

It's my go-to place to buy when I'm at Madrid, they are not nearly half as nice as they are in Veggie Room but they offer several times as much. They have two fridges for vegan cheese, one for margarine and yoghurt , several for mock meats, I'm not even counting the plethora of grains, pastas, sweets, cosmetics, pet foods... It's not cheap but it's not overpriced for the most part.

Pros: They have almost everything.

Cons: Not very welcoming staff.

All vegan

A lot of vegan stuff.
Not exactly cheap, but the prices of Spanish spread and veg meat in the fridge were really good + it's always nice to support local producers.

Pros: A lot to choose from

Pros: variedad

Cons: ubicación , personal

Huge selection of vegan products

I was really impressed by this shop; although it doesn't have fresh produce like fruit and vegetables, those can easily be found in other shops, so when I go to vegan shops I tend to be looking for things like vegan cheese, meats, and sweets that are difficult or impossible to find elsewhere.

The range was fantastic, with a lot of products I haven't found in other countries, including some specifically Spanish products such as jamón. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pros: Huge selection

The Vegan Store

Small vegan store offering a great variety of vegan emulation of meat, cheese and fish. Also offers supplements, beans, cereals, chocolates, etc.
Fresh fruits and vegetables missing.
Prices, still high, are a bit better than in other similar stores of Madrid.
Good service: the owners are truly expert and will guide you scientifically.

Pros: Variety, Professional advice

Cons: No fresh fruits and vegetables

Planeta Vegano

I spent a solid hour at Planeta Vegano browsing all of the vegan options. It is a small shop but has a ton of meat alternatives, veggie protein, and really anything you could want. Food is a bit pricey, but that's expected when you are looking for specialty vegan products. They sell big bags of cheap oats though, which is nice.

Pros: Everything is vegan

Cons: small shop

You can find anything here!

All kinds of vegan, bio foods as well as supplements and even some books on veganism. This is the place I go when I don't know where to find some weird vegan stuff.

Great as for Madrid

A small but well arranged and sorted vegan shop. I liked the vegan ice-cream! Not too expensive prices.

Couldn't imagine our neighbourhood without them

I love shopping here and always finding something new to try, especially because they keep looking into new brands and products.

Also, they give you the option to subscribe to a weekly delivery of fresh organic produce from a local farmer.

And finally, the staff is really friendly. There are always vegan dog cookies waiting for their barking customers, which are well received here.

Pros: Wide variety, Friendly staff, Opening hours

Excellent selection of dry goods, all vegan

I was very pleased to discover Planeta Vegano, which offers a wide selection of vegan dry goods, with a large percentage being organic. There are plenty of staples, snacks, sweets (including vegan ice cream), breads, pet foods, and protein options, including a number of regional products i haven't seen anywhere else (in Spain or elsewhere).

My only request for improvement would be adding a selection of fresh produce, as they don't currently sell fresh fruits or veggies.

Pros: Great selection, All vegan, Many organic items

Cons: No fresh produce

The vegan store in Madrid

They move to a new premise in the same street few meters up. Noy they have more space for vegan food, clothes, shoes, cosmetics, cleaning, vitamins, animals mates food, etc. The street is restricted to private cars (best if move by bike!), but the owners can delete the penalty if you say them your car plate number. Is not easy to find parking place in the street, also you can park in a old paying parking in Primavera street (100 m walking) and the penalty is also deleted.

Pros: Varied products, Full vegan

a great concept

When you enter this place you are overwhelmed by the variety of vegan meat available. Many-many different kinds of "sausages", vegan salmon, "shrimps", even "calamari". All kinds of veggies burgers, seitan and tofu. The largest selection of vegan cheeses I have seen in Europe and a large section of vegan pet food, which is great to see.
Oh and they carry vegan speculoo spread and even dulce de leche (de soja)

Pros: large variety

Cons: expensive
