Sandwich shop

Small sandwich tasted good but was pretty dry. Seemed to be just vegan meat slices with chopped green pepper and onion. The cost was a little over $16 for just the sandwich.

Pros: Friendly staff, Diner/bookstore motif, Good location

Cons: Way overpriced , Small sandwich , Sandwich does not come with a side

Enjoyable

Finally made it to this place! I ordered the "Bacon" & Veggies panini. It's good; almost as good as mine. 😉
Plant meats are from The Herbivorous Butcher, which is good stuff. I'll definitely eat here again.

Worth a visit!

I stopped here on my way to Omaha and it did not disappoint. I got the Bacon and Veggies Panini featuring turkey, bacon, and havarti cheese from The Herbivorous Butcher. It was well prepared and worth the price.

I also enjoyed an oat milk latte.

While waiting, I enjoyed browsing the bookshelves - they have a pretty unique selection of books.

Pros: Great food , Helpful staff , Books!

Easy to get to from the highway

I was hungry for a sandwich and after reading the reviews wanted to give this a try. My husband got the Don and he liked it, and mentioned how good the pickles were a couple times. I got the BLT and it was very good too. I’ve wanted to try herbivorous butcher meats and wasn’t disappointed. I would eat it again

Pros: Close to I80, Generous amount of “meat”

Not ideal for groups

Best part, hands down is that they carry Herbivorous Butcher meats & cheeses. The bacon & veggies sandwich (which includes turkey & havarti) is an incredible sandwich that is hard to find elsewhere (unless you go to Herbivorous Butcher in Minneapolis!). It is very pricey though at over $15 with an extra $2 for a bag of chips. Our group ordered two of those sandwiches plus two other simple (non vegan sandwiches). They each came out separately with 5-10 minutes in between each. (We put 90 minutes in parking meter and it wasn't enough.) That said there are a ton of cozy corners among the bookshelves to study, read and relax with a coffee or sandwich, so it might be ideal for individuals or couples who aren't on a time schedule.

Phenomenal vegan sandwiches!

I am not sure why it took me so long to find this place. They have a separate vegan menu with plenty of options. I had the Vegan Don sandwich and will probably be back again this week to try something else—it’s that good! It’s hard to find a place that does a vegan sandwich right, and they most certainly do.

Beautiful Gem!

Absolutely adorable spot! My sis and I were greeted so warmly and enthusiastically from the very first second and were given a tour of the place (bookstore, event space, diner, multiple bathrooms, patio!). Sarah (the amazing person behind the counter) had fabulous recommendations, definitely trust the chef here!! Everything was prepared from scratch so we were prepared to wait, but somehow (to our delight) it all still came out really quickly. The food was FABULOUS, this was such a treat for road-weary travelers. I had the sausage & peppers on ciabatta and got the chickpea tuna melt to go. I felt SO lucky to have an entirely vegan menu to peruse. The fact they have Herbivorous Butcher deli items here is just *chef's kiss*! Best road trip stop ever!!!! (I even found a book while I was waiting to use the bathroom.) Five million stars!

Pros: So many veg options!!, Super awesome friendly staff, Reasonable prices

Cons: No vegan ice cream (would be nice to have!)

Yummm! Great vegan options

I ordered delivery for the first time and wasn't expecting much but was surprised by the selection. Very solid vegan menu for light fare, the Vegan Don was amazing. Can't wait to try the "tuna" melt!

Pros: Great selection, Tasty food

Cons: You're paying a premium for vegan
