Lasagna was burnt, service unfriendly - Edit
The restaurant seems to have shrunk their vegan offering from last year. They currently serve two vegan main dishes: a vegan lasagna with mushrooms and spinach, and a vegan goulash with gnocchi. They also serve a vegan Fererro cake.
Read moreSadly, our experience here was not good. The service was rather unfriendly and the vegan „Popeye lasagna“ was burnt from the top and not very tasty otherwise.
The guests at the table next to us were very loud and went to every table to ask for cigarettes. Of course, this is not directly the restaurant’s fault - however, the waitress seemed not to care about their behavior.

We sat down outside, there was only 1 large table occupied. Within 15 minutes, we still weren't even acknowledged, so I went inside to request an English menu, which they gave me. Another 15 minutes later, we still weren't approached by the waiter who, in the meantime, served 4 other freshly occupied tables, some already received their food orders. I went inside again, in confusion, thinking we had to order inside. I was told the other waiter was going to come and take our orders. So we sat at waited yet another 15 minutes. In the meantime, the other waiter also served another newly occupied 5 tables and cleaned 3 tables who had already finished their meals with coffee and cigarettes. This is when the other waiter finally came and took our order. In 10 minutes, I got my sparkling water. Waited waited waited. Watched people come and go finish their lunches. So another 20 minutes later, had no choice but to give up. I went inside to pay for the water. The waiter looked, and I told him we would like to cancel our lunch order. He shrugged his shoulders and said sure whatever. Yup, that's what happened. I guess they don't like foreigners. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO TOURISTS.

lot of vegan options - Edit
Very nice place with a lot a vegan options. I had the vegan gulasch, as side dish you can chose from rice, gnocchi, polenta or bread. I had the (vegan) polenta, which tasted very soft and good.
Read moreMy friend got the "sexy mediteranka" burger with very delicious (self made?) patty and pesto-like sauce. Ther burgers are also very cheap with less than 10€, sweet potato fries inclusive.
We had another sweet potato fried portion extra, which was a very big portion.
Unfortunately, as many reviewers experienced, the vegan raffaelo cake was not available.
There are plenty seats outside in the shadow with a view on the Rječina. Next to a busy street but still a very relaxed atmosphere.
The staff is very friendly and helpful but work a little slowly.
Pros: lot of vegan options, good portion size for the small prices, tasty and homemade food
Cons: had to wait for the staff several times, payment only with card

Sooo good that I went twice! - Edit
Fancy restaurant at Hotel Continental with nice outside seating. So many vegan options: 1 vegan goulash, 6 (yes, six!) vegan burgers, 2 vegan soups, 2 vegan pasta dishes, 2 vegan lasagne and 1 vegan Ferrero cake (this one I wanted so bad but unfortunately wasn't available when I went). I tried the goulash, the Popeye lasagna, the I love you you love me Burger and the sexy mediteranac Burger, all well served (portions are big!) and delicious! Highly recommended! P.S.: payment ONLY with cards, no cash (only for the tips)!

Many vegan options, they are labeled and separated in the menu. we tried Irish goulash with home made gnocchi and it was amazing, very tasty.

Great vegan options and cool atmosphere - Edit
Was happy to find this place after many ‘Pasta with vegetables’ for dinner in Croatia (still thankful for those). I had the vegan goulash and it was very good, much needed comfort food! The atmosphere very local and full of history. A highlight of my trip in Croatia!

This place was great! They had so many vegan options which was great since Rijeka really didn’t have that many. There were 4 or 5 vegan burgers, two vegan lasagnes, vegan goulash, two vegan pastas and even vegan cake for dessert! I got the goulash and it was super tasty. My partner got one one of the burgers and loved it too.
