Delicious food in a lovely pub!

I’ve driven past this pub many times and thought it looked really nice so I was excited to come and try the food, and I was not disappointed!

The pub itself is big with lots of seating including a large outdoor terrace. There is also plenty of free parking. Inside they have shuffleboard tables which you can pay to play, and they also host DJ and retro gaming nights. The decor is nice and the pub feels open and welcoming.

We sat in a lovely well-lit area with big windows at the back of the pub.

The menu had a good range of vegan starters, mains and a dessert as well as labelled vegan wines.

For starters (“small plates”) we went for the Plant-based Nuggets, Harissa Houmous & Flatbread and Crispy Smashed Potatoes with rosemary sea salt. They were all very tasty and we also benefitted from an offer of 3 starters for £15. The nuggets were nice and tender and tasted really good with the rich Korean BBQ sauce (Nashville hot sauce and Texan BBQ sauce were also options). The harissa houmous was creamy with a great flavour and nice kick from the harissa. The Crispy Smashed Potatoes were also really good and the accompanying garlic aioli was very moreish.

For mains we had the Pulled Mushroom Chilli and Beyond Meat Burger. The Pulled Mushroom Chilli was so delicious! It had a rich, indulgent, smokey flavour and I loved it! The Beyond Burger was also good, it’s hard to go wrong with Beyond ‘meat’ as it tastes so nice and meaty! The accompanying chips were also really good - crispy with fluffy centres.

For dessert we shared the Lemon Tart. I also really enjoyed this - it had a strong lemon flavour and was really tasty. It also came with vegan vanilla ice cream and fresh raspberries which made it even better!

We had a great time here and I would definitely say it’s worth a visit!

Pros: Delicious food, Lovely spacious pub, Good value for money
