Great food!

Great place to eat! Lots of healthy Asia food, with ‘Western’ choices as well. Lovely vibe in the resturant. Really helped me to convince the people I was travelling with to eat there as there are vegan versions of the street food that they wanted to try.

The absolute best!

My friend and I went to Pinxin not once but 4 times during our four day trip to Penang. It is beyond worth going to. The staff are so kind, the service is so fast, the food is to die for, and I love their sustainable aspect! We ordered iced mochas which came with reusable straws, and the drinks were amazing! We ordered the satay rice the first time, the healthy burger the next time, and the vegetable rice and satay sticks the last two times. I cannot recommend this place enough! And the pricing is so great for how much food you’re getting! I would go back to Georgetown just for this food!!

Pros: Excellent food, Sustainability , Kind service

Authentic Asian Cuisine

Upscale but affordable. All vegan with buddhist/malay menu. Some westernized items. Gluten-free options. Zero-waste/sustainable goods available on-site. Calm ambience, quiet, would be nice for a date but still family friendly.

Pros: gluten-free options, family friendly , authentic asian menu

Lovely restaurant and very nice food.

A beautiful restaurant selling 100% vegan food. Not the cheapest, but then none of the 100% vegan places in Penang are.
Unfortunately were out of a few things on the menu but what we ordered was delicious.
Would recommend.

Pros: Lovely restaurant , Very tasty food

Cons: Slightly pricey , Did not have everything on the menu.

break the impression of "Buddhist vegetarianism"

"Avocado Beet Sourdough Toast" (RM18) looks so pretty! If you take a picture of it, put on IG, you will get a lot of "like" 😍 The chef is very clever to make the beetroot into mash, painted on the bread, put a bunch of avocado, it makes me like this toast a lot even I hate beetroot. "Pinxin" has many products to sell, like, Vegan's lip balm (RM28), very cute in design,I bought a peach flavor, now used every day; and water bottle (RM69) ) It’s very fashionable

Super friendly & tasty!

We've been visiting Penang for many times already enjoying its vegan places. From our experience, we consider Pinxin as one of the best spots in the city. It's run by a super friendly vegan family, offers a great variety of dishes from both Asian & Western cuisines and [what's even more important] all of them are awesome! The atmosphere here is extremely cosy and full of vegan love.

Pros: superb food, great atmosphere

Good vegan brownie

I went to eat only some vegan sweets. It was late at night, so they didn't have only chocolate brownie, which was very good(sweet and sour)

Great place

Good food, all vegan, friendly and attentive service, airconditioned and prices are not over the top. Unfortunately only went there once during my stay in Georgetown.

Tasty and healthy

One of the best vegan places in Penang. They’re consistent in their food preparation, with really tasty and aesthetically pleasing items on their menu.

Pros: Tasty and Instagrammable, Fresh ingredients used, Consistently good

Cons: A little pricey but worth the price imo

Very good food!

Went there twice and was very happy!
The first time I've had the Nasi Lemak and the Charcoal Dark Hericium Burger. It was the best Burger, that I've ever had and the local dish was also perfect!
With choosing the free refill drinking water for 1 RM I spent less than 43 for a huuuge meal. Normal people probably spend less than 30, so the prices are reasonable.
The second time I tried the Buddha Bowl, which was really nice aswell and some rice rolls with a dark sauce... Not my taste, but that's no Con for me.
The restaurant itself is also cool. Beautiful paintings on the wall and clean bathrooms. Most of the staff didn't smile at all, but maybe they just had a rough day (:

Quite Average

Dined last night with modest expectations. Food was average to poor and most notably the service was unfriendly and curt. Had a large variety of items - noodles were ok, salad was very poor, western dishes average. Very limited drinks available and no desserts.

Pros: Spacious and clean, Large menu

Cons: Many dishes unavailable , Unfriendly service , Average food

Disappointing

The food was ok. I was expecting so much better, but I've had a lot better elsewhere. Hated the kwang chiang. The jasmine butterfly tea was disgusting, but I should know better than to thing mixing butterfly pea juice and tea would be good. The asam laksa was just ok. The other soup we got was better, not amazing, but pretty good. In general, adequate but that's it.

Simple, healthy Malaysian food

Had a good and reasonably priced meal here. Nice restaurant with stylish seats, signs and crockery etc.
Ordered twin pao appetiser - would recommend potato curry but not red bean as this was a bit sweet.
For main had sweet and sour rice which was simple but delicious and had lots of fresh veggies. They were happy to replace mushrooms with tofu also.
Total cost for two teas (peach and apricot is good!), two pao and two rice dishes was 61R ( £11.50) which I think was reasonable.
Western foods are priced more highly.

Pros: Nice to try healthy simple Malay food sans meat, All vegan , Friendly staff

Penang vegan saviour

A nice range of food, all vegan, with good sized portions! Can’t remember the exact name, but I had ‘healthy burger’... oh man! Can get some nice bread based food as well e.g. avo on toast! More expensive than more local food places, but not too a bad price to pay for a change. The restaurant didn’t have any vegan desserts which was a let down. The staff are friendly as well. Ended up going here twice and was very happy overall!

Pros: Amazing food, Good coffee

Cons: On the pricey side, Lack of desserts

Clean and tasty

It’s your next level restaurant, a bit more pricey for local standards but still cheap by western standard. Clean and tasty food presented well.

Pros: Quality

Cons: A bit more pricey
