Vegan options, at least - Edit
I love the fact that it was a place to find vegan food in this desert outside of Gainesville.
Read moreOf course only go there if the other places are closed because essentially all they do is cook up stuff you can make at home (Beyond burger, bratwurst), and I would reconsider ordering anything that has their french fries because they like to put some kind of coating or breading on their fries instead of just making them normal and good.
Pros: It's got vegan options
Cons: Fries breaded w stuff

Easy vegan options in High Springs - Edit
This place is an old school diner with a bar. High Springs is a tiny North Florida town. The fact that they have a whole vegan section on their menu is refreshing and exciting. The folks are super nice and accommodating. Just don’t expect health foods - it remains a true diner 😅

Great possibility - Edit
I tried two items from the vegan diner classics menu. The Salisbury steak was absolutely excellent, the chili cheese fries were a bit of a disappointment lacking anything that resembled chili. Basically fries topped with a mixture of black and kidney beans, grilled crumbles, and unmelted vegan cheese. Also tried the fried cauliflower appetizer. Not crispy, coating was soggy however spicy chili sauce was good. The atmosphere and service was great. Looks like a diner and has many more vegan dishes I would like to try.

Limited options if you don’t want Beyond Meat - Edit
There are lots of clearly marked vegan options if you want to eat Beyond Meat. I don’t. The one option, a tempeh Reuben, was good. The side order of mash with mushroom gravy was really good too.

Amazing!! - Edit
I see why their reviews are so good! The food was delicious. I ordered the Hot Flower appetizer and the vegan chopped steak for entree. Cauliflower was fried to perfection & the sauce on it was sooooo good. The chopped steak was heavy on pepper and a little light on salt, so I had to add a few shakes to the mashed potatoes, but it’s definitely a dish I’d get again!

Vegan options galore!! 🥦🥗😋 - Edit
The staff absolutely knows what vegan means and they have a whole section in the menu for vegan items. I got the mashed potato bowl but they have more exotic options too! Really delicious food!

Found Vegan where I didn’t expect it! - Edit
Tried the Melting Pot, homemade mashed potatoes covered in vegan chili, cheese… was very satiating. Many other options I’d like to try if I come through here again.

Lots of vegan options - Edit
Super cute diner in a small town with vegan options very clearly labeled on the menu. Tons of dishes that are vegan. I ordered the house chili which had great flavoring.

High expectations but greatly disappointed - Edit
We were looking forward to checking out this place since this is such a small town & this restaurant offers a whole vegan section on their menu. When we saw how inclusive they were we had high hopes. The restaurant in itself has a cute diner vibe. Unfortunately all the food we got was off the mark and ultimately disappointing ESPECIALLY for the price. We the cauliflower appetizer and can note that the sauce is delish but the cauliflower was nothing special it didn’t have a flour coating, it wasn’t overall well cooked & it was simply coated with a Chinese style sauce. The two plates we got were very unsatisfying. My partner got the vegan jambalaya and was hoping to get those spices/ flavor that you’d expect in a Caribbean dish. This dish tasted like an Italian dish that was served on top of plain white rice. The meat had little to no seasoning and was cooked in what seemed like tomato sauce and paste. The vegan Mac and cheese was like a pasta mixed into nacho cheese, with cut up tomatoes & an Italian herb . Both of these dishes were $15-20 dollars each & were not worth this price. We both felt bamboozled leaving this restaurant. If you need something in a pinch this may work but leave your expectations at the door.
