Serves meat, vegan options available. Casual bar and bistro. Vegan dishes include nachos, panini, and burgers. Open Tue-Thu 11:00am-11:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-12:00am, Sun 11:00am-10:00pm.
We went to Pink Duck as the Happy Cow description states (now updated) that there is a separate vegan menu. Sadly this is no longer the case. The menu is quite big, over 40 items, and there was only one item on the menu which is labelled suitable for vegans - Nachos. There is also one dessert that can be made vegan - Apple Crumble. There is a Vege Burger that has plant based cheese, but we wondered why this is not labelled as vegan on the menu, maybe they cook it on the same grill as meat items? We were going off the idea of the Vege Burger, also because the burger patty itself is just a mushroom. We asked at the counter about vegan options, the server was lovely but she wasn't sure what was vegan and gave us the menu to look at. We'd already looked at the menu and so decided to leave by that point as Nachos with sour cream, guacamole and corn salsa was not going to cut the mustard for a decent lunch.
Tasty well presented food with a decent portion size. Seperate vegan section of the menu with a fair few options plus a vegan dessert. We tried the burger, nachos and peanut butter slice all really good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Nice ambience and live music on Sundays. I would recommend this place.
