extremely nice service, that's what I give the two stars for. not sure how the ratings are so good overall. all 7 of us were stunlocked, honestly.
Read morewe really wanted to try francesinha as is was praised a lot (especially the vegan one), but we were disappointed (even the omnis in our group that had the meat variant) to say the least. the vegan version was just 3 or 4 slices of cheese on top of some kind of burger bun (no toast as in the original) with a vegetable patty that was rather dry. the sauce was very watery and covered the fries that were soggy, but at least they were salted well.
I think francesinha has the possibility to be good, it's just not good at this place.
I am usually thankful for any kind of traditional meaty food being veganized, this was just a shame tho

One option, apparently the vegan (or, alternatively, vegetarian) version of a Portuguese national dish. Very warm welcome by host! Big portion. Consider asking that only a moderate amount of the [vegan] cheese be used.

We were very happily surprised that a typical neighbourhood bar/café like this could have converted a local dish - Francesinha - into a tasty vegan version. There was also a vegan burger, but we didn't try it. The lovely lady serving genuinely knew what vegan meant as well.

Probamos tanto la francesinha como la hamburguesa y nos encantaron las dos. Sólo tienen esas dos opciones veganas, pero merecen la pena!!! Ojalá sigan ampliando la carta de platos veganos (incluso algún postre).

Super tasty and original vegan option. The vegab francesinha is made with a homemade quinoa burger, the bread is a 'bolo do caco' (without any animal ingredients) and vegan cheese. Any vegan eating here will be happy with this option and very well served. The portion is very well served and the staff is really nice.

For the sympathy and quick service. The Francesinha is decent overall, it is more of a burger covered in sauce, but it is still tasty and the sauce was great!

The "piece of meat" of the vegan francesinha is home made by the Chief himself with quinoa and green peas : it's delicious ! The lady who welcomed me is so gentle and smily : alltogether they made my day :)

Fui jantar uma francesinha vegan que estava ótima (das melhores que já comi, apesar de ter encontrado um pequeno cabelo na francesinha - acontece, não foi grave, nem me pareceu que fosse a norma do espaço que é bastante limpo). O restaurante está aberto e serve refeições, não está apenas disponível para entrega como aqui indica. Ambiente acolhedor. Os donos são um casal simpático, a senhora que nos serviu era extremamente atenciosa e simpática, gostei muito! Já o seu marido teve uma conversa no fim um pouco desagradável e racista o que me deixou a mim e ao meu namorado um pouco desconfortáveis. O racismo e comentários xenófobos não deveriam existir em conversas casuais.
