actually decent

It's hard to find vegan options in smaller towns in Minnesota like Alexandria. After looking at several local establishments, we decided to eat with our omnivore companions at Pike & Pint since they had the most vegan-promising items and a separate "Vegetarian Menu". Our server was very friendly and understood what vegan meant. She double-checked with the kitchen that no animal ingredients were in the dishes we ordered (Wild Rice Burger, Veggie Stir Fry).

The Veggie Stir Fry was actually really tasty and better than I expected. The noodles were nice and chewy, and the teriyaki sauce was flavorful. I probably could have eaten two plates of it. That said, $15 for veggies and noodles is overpriced, but I guess you're paying for the atmosphere and the upcharge for the privilege of eating actual vegetables in the land of dairy and meat.

Pretty nice atmosphere inside, and a good place to go with omnis or if you want to drink beer or wine.

Pros: vegetarian menu, friendly staff willing to check ingredients, tasty food

Cons: not labeled vegan, expensive
