This is a beautiful little spot on the road to Fiscardo. It has optional seating areas and a pebbled courtyard with trees for shade, fairy lights and growing herbs in pots.

They deliver and offer baguettes to purchase on the way to the beach.
The pictures in this review are the vegan burger at dinner and a roasted veg baguette with hummus and avocado for lunch on a different day 🥑
I also bought a sugared ring doughnut, but I ate that too quickly before taking a photo

Welcoming and friendly café with vegan beetroot and courgette burger on menu. Served with beetroot slaw and avocado, fries and a little pot of eggplant salad.

Some vegan options, great service - Edit
We went for lunch at picnic on our way to fiscardo. They had a couple of vegan options, we had the vegan burger and the vegan sandwich. For starter we got the Dolmades. Everything was really tasty and we left more than full and happy. The dolmades came with some tatziki which we send back but the dolmades themselves tasted amazing, with the mixture of dill, a littly tangy flavour of lemon and great olive oil. The sandwich had a mediteranian filling with hummus and sweet oven baked veggies with fries on the side. The burger had a zuchini patty and an apple red beet chutney. It was so much we couldn't finish it all. The fries were a little soggy unfortunately but all in all we'd say the quality of food was great.

A delightful cafe - Edit
We were so thrilled to find this family run cafe/taverna on our first visit to Kefalonia . We visited three times during our stay and can recommend for an evening where you can enjoy seeing the sunset across the road. We enjoyed their homemade burgers and the chef happily adapted their mushroom dish to make it vegan . The staff are knowledgeable about vegan food and very helpful. On our next visits we had delicious cooked breakfasts and their coffee’s are excellent with a choice of plant milks. Thoroughly recommend

Lovely little local cafe - Edit
Edit: 16 May 23 started making vegan cheese pizza. I'd recommend. I was the first to try it and we both would order again. So good because in the area we've had salad most days unless we went here so it's nice to see good vegan options.

Cute cafe with a few clearly marked vegan items including a vegan burger with beetroot and courgette and a Vegan baguette. Plant based milk is available, my husband was delighted to get an oat milk latte!
Read moreStaff lovely and friendly, it did take a while for food to arrive but the wait was worth it. There is also a book swap available here.

Nice to have vegan options near Fiskardo - Edit
It’s a cute spot and the servers were friendly and nice. The service was really slow which is tough when with young children. I appreciate the two vegan labelled vegan options — though I had the burger and isn’t for me. Flavours were just off for my tastes. It’d be great if they could label more items as veggie as I suspect there’s a couple other dishes that could be accidentally vegan. All in all I do think it’s worth a try when in the area.

This is not a vegan cafe but they have great vegan burger with beetroot slaw and avocado plus top chips 10/10. They also have vegan baguette and hummus and other bits. The juices are beautiful

Cute owner and delicious food - Edit
I took the vegan burger with beetroot and it was so delicious. The fries were too much for me so my boyfriend ate them. The owner was super friendly and they’re also offering one vegan daily changing meal. She also gave us a delicious small dessert for free!
