Delicious!! - Edit
In terms of go-tos, Pianta now rivals Plant City for me and my gf! Sometimes they list things as ‘chicken’ but know that the whole restaurant is plant based. Their country chicken was the best vegan chicken i’ve ever had.

Good Flavor - Edit
Kale salad was great! Risotto had good flavor but was overcooked and mushy. Cookie skillet was good but ice cream tasted a little freezer burnt.

We visited Pianta today and we can’t wait to go back! The options were all tempting and we ended up getting a lot of appetizers, one soup, one dessert and two entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious and the presentation of the dishes is so artistic and fancy! This is a perfect place for a nice celebration, date night or family lunch/dinner. We really were blown away by the service and flavors. Every dish is a masterpiece. We were very happy to see how busy it was today cause it means that they are doing good and it’s very well deserved.

World class vegan in Providence - Edit
We had a delightful evening here trying as many small plates as we could could. Unfortunately, there were only two of us, and we got full! We’ll definitely be back! Interesting flavors, creative, ever changing menu, lively, but not overly loud environment, friendly attentive staff, what more could you want from a special restaurant?

Probably, objectively, the best vegan restaurant in New England, if not the Northeast, if not the country. Smokes high end vegan spots I’ve been to in NYC and Los Angeles. Geniuses. That’s all! Can’t wait to come back. #Veganuary

So good! - Edit
Stopped for dinner on a day trip to Providence. The ambiance was lovely and the server was very attentive. We went with the steak and cheese egg rolls, country plate, and chicken parm. Everything was really good but I would say the crunch on the chicken of the country plate and the overall experience of the egg rolls was epic. All the feels (and tastes). We also enjoyed some cocktails (mezcal margarita/egg nog) which were so delicious and well presented. I even accidentally spilled a cocktail right after we got it and the server was kind enough to not only move us to a new table but also bring a brand new cocktail. So thoughtful! Would love to visit again (next on my hit list is the steak au jui and honey mustard fried chicken sando).

Good brunch! - Edit
Went here for brunch on New Year’s Day, they did a tapas style with smaller shared plates. The food was good but I do think I would have preferred traditional style larger plates instead of sharing with the table.
Read moreWe got the home fries (a must try, they were smothered in some great sauces) the egg rolls which were very tasty, a bit greasy and one of the side sauces it came with was sweet and salty which was a little weird. Also got the chicken and waffles, which I wish came had come with a gravy instead of spicy maple syrup and the donuts which weren’t anything special so I’d skip those next time.
Hoping they’ll add some coffee options to their drink menu, the only caffeinated option was a iced dirty chai but it was yummy!
The service was a bit slow but our server was very nice and the slow service is totally forgivable given the busy holiday.
Would recommend making a reservation on their open table so that you don’t have to wait for a table, it works out really well for us!
Will be back to try lunch or dinner next time.

Good drinks, good apps, need to lower prices on some meals. - Edit
This place was delicious and cute. However - some of the menu items are overpriced!
Read moreThe penne vodka dish was 22 bucks! I really was dissatisfied with it. It was just pasta and tomato sauce - that’s like … 3 bucks.
Everything else (corn fritters, steak end cheese egg roles, Italian hoagie, espresso martinis) was scrumptious!
Recommend - but watch the prices and get something reasonable.

This was honestly one of the best vegan meals I've ever had! I got the fried "chicken" and it was some of the best imitation fried chicken. It along with the gravy was super tasty. My only complaint was that it was a little pricey for how much food I got.

Freaking Delicious - Edit
We finally got to visit this place by attending a “foodie night” and was able to sample a few “bites.” We did purchase the Chronch! Holy cow, it was so freaking good that I would’ve bought more and happily ate them all by my self. 😁 I wish I would’ve had a second spicy watermelon Margarita! It was very well made. And I’m still dreaming about the buttery, creamy Smashed Potatoes Bravos. 🤤 I am looking forward to going back to try more of their menu items, because sadly, I learned the crunch is not a main menu item but a summer item.

The food is incredibly fresh and delicious! The staff are super nice and genuinely excited about the food they’re serving. They’re really accommodating as well. Desserts are out of this world too!! We went to Pianta to celebrate our vegan son’s graduation he also has a tree nut allergy, so we loved that everything that is nut free is clearly marked. The food was so tasty and the staff was super friendly and passionate about the plant based/sustainable life style. The smashed potato, and strawberry habanero bbq “chicken “dipper small plates were delicious. We all loved our entrées. This restaurant shows how delicious plant based food can be. Bring your non vegan friends and family, they will be converted!

Oh-My-God! - Edit
Tried this place for the 1st time Thursday 5/26/22. OMG, it was so freaking good!!!!!!! Where do I begin?! I went with my daughter & we wanted to split everything to try stuff. We started with 2 apps- smashed potatoes w/ lemon garlic aioli that were really super yummy and the crispy Brussels sprouts with maple sriracha aioli. When I say these Brussels are delicious, I'm not exaggerating. I was leery cuz I'm not a sriracha fan but trust me when I say these are culinary perfection! Both apps are GF, SF & NF. We we both blown away at the flavor and could've just happily eaten these 2 apps which were good portions and quite filling. As entrees we got the hummus wrap also SF,NF and I got it with a GF wrap. It comes with french fries or salad
Read moreWe got fries. My daughter said great flavor fries but they looked way too salty for me. The wrap was good, nice portions and complimentary flavors. The other entree was the creamy pesto gnocchi NF, SF and normally available GF but they were out of GF gnocchi. We got it anyway as we're not allergic and just try to avoid gluten cuz it's not great for you. Anyway, another delicious meal. It's the kind of food that's so good you just keep eating it even if you're full cuz it's so freaking delicious! My daughter got a lemonade with rosemary that she enjoyed. I tasted it. Very refreshing but too sweet for me. I stick with water. The server was lovely, friendly and efficient. They offer inside/outside dining. More tables inside than out. Not too many outside. It's a cute place. Neither of us used the restroom so I can't speak to handicapped accessibility for that if that applies to you. Overall, I have nothing but rave reviews for this place for everything we ordered and service! Go if you haven't! I can't wait to go back and try other dishes!
Pros: GF NF SF options, Reasonable portions, Absolutely delicious
Cons: A little expensive (but worth it) , No off street parking

Vegan Gem!! - Edit
May 2022 - Great news. Pianta has now opened a full service sit down fully vegan restaurant. We’ve been twice. The food is creative, unique and fantastic!! They’re located in the Federal Hill section of Providence. I’ll be returning until I’ve tried everything on the menu. Fantastic addition to vegan eating.
