You can hope your food is vegan but you ll never know

They never listen or answer your questions. You could ask if the meat is vegan and the stuff would 50/50 just say yes. After this struggle in the end you get okayish food but it's a small portion and they still might have gotten your orders wrong. Seem like they just don't care.

Don't seem to take vegans seriously

To be honest, reading about AnaTanase's experience below didn't come as a surprise to me. I've been there a few times, initially attracted by the fact they have a clearly outlined vegan section in their menu, but alas, those dishes seem to be just the omni dishes sans the flesh - or in Ana's case, still with the flesh. The vegan dishes are okay-ish, but ultimately lacklustre and uninspired. What ultimately confirmed my impression that they do not really care about vegans, but just see veganism as a way for a cash-grab was the fact that there are vegan dishes that cost MORE than their omni counterparts. Case in point, if you compare the #36 (phad prig) with the #62 (vegan phad prig), you'll notice that vegans actually have to pay them to NOT add pieces of shredded chickens or pigs to the dish. Or maybe their meat is of such poor quality, omnis are being compensated for having to endure it. Makes me wonder if one could just order regular phad prig, but tell them to keep the flesh in the kitchen and save money in the process. But then again, their food was okay-ish at best, so it's really not worth the hassle for me. Even less so, if they might still throw some meat bits in there, as they have done in the review below this one.

Unfortunate event

I've been a loyal customer for over 2 years because they have a huge variety of vegan dishes that are delicious. However, the last time I ordered from them, I found tiny bits of meat in my food, which completely put me off. They are great people and I think they would be open to being more careful with this, but I haven't tried yet because I was too upset.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly staff, open till 22:00, Good prices

Cons: Found bits of meat in vegan dish once, Use plastic for delivery

Great selection, nice interior, noisy outside

This restaurant has one of the best vegan selections I've ever seen and it's all grouped in a separate section of the menu. The interior is nice, however the outdoor seating is near a very busy road.

Great vegan Thai food

Pi-Nong is a small Thai restaurant in the neighbourhood Sachsenhausen. The menue has a vegan section with many options to choose from. The food is very tasty and fresh and the prices are moderate. It has outdoor seating in the summer, but close to the street.
