Still a reliable option in 2024! - Edit
Tasty, cheap and friendly. It seems they only serve rice platters though (no noodles for example). But the food is good and cheap! Sometimes they may run out of food if you come too late for lunch. I once came at 1:30pm, and I took the very last portions. A plate of rice with veggies, tofu and mock meat is VND 25,000. Bon appétit !

simply good - Edit
Not much to say: good and cheap food
Read moreYou'll get a small bowl of soup and rice with a little "one of each" from the buffet - good mix between mock meats and veg
Paid 20k for that plate
When I got there it was late afternoon so the rice was not superfresh/ a little stale, other than that there's really nothing to mention
Pros: Buddha watching over you eating haha

Hot rice and ice cold free tea. - Edit
Serene restaurant adjacent to the temple and part of the temple grounds. Standard rice with buffet but very tasty and hot. A small bowl of soup, plate of rice with small helpings of all on offer. Delicious. I had two helpings. Not that they aren't big, just so delicious.

Yummy Banh Xeo - Edit
We chanced upon this place while attempting to locate the bus terminal. The large restaurant inside the temple was closed, but we were able to sample their delicious take on the local specialty 'banh xeo', which were stuffed with little mushrooms as well as bean shoots.
