Served pork accidentally - Edit
Wouldn’t bother returning here. The staff is clueless about what vegan even is!
Read moreSo I decided to try Pho Mi based on the previous reviews and because I love Vietnamese food. The lady who served us was very kind, but gave me a blank stare when I said I needed something vegan. Finally she pointed me to the last page of their menu which was their vegetarian section. I inquired if their veggie spring roll contains eggs; she didn’t seem too sure and had to call another employee to check - who assured me that they did not. I was already uncomfortable with this interaction, but decided to order the Bun Cha Gio Chay (Vermicelli salad spring roll). My bowl looked delicious when she set it down but guess what!! As I was about to put my fork into it, the lady came running over and fished out the spring roll from my dish, saying she had accidentally served me a pork roll. I was then left to wait another 10 minutes while they made me a veggie spring roll and added it to the same bowl.
The dish itself was ok.. nothing spectacular and was lacking in flavor, even with the sauce it came with. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish.. but being served meat accidentally is enough to make me not want to return to a place. Ugh.
PS: NO soy milk here. I asked about a soy milk option for their Boba Tea, but the lady told me that all they have is regular milk.
Pros: Separate vegetarian section on the menu, which does specify no meat or meat by-products
Cons: Clueless staff, Accidentally served meat , Food not that great

great staff! yummy food! - Edit
Pho mi is my go to. Anytime I'm just not feeling like cooking or cleaning, I call in my order and pick it up 15 minutes later. (I dine in too, just more frequently use their carry out option.) They are completely open to my requests of no oil, no salt, and no tofu which is awesome. I usually get the summer rolls with no tofu and the veggie pho no tofu. And just because they don't have a menu entree listed doesn't mean they can't make a vegan version. Just request no meat, sub tofu or more veggies and ask for no fish sauce and sub out for rice noodles. If you like Linh's, you'll like Pho Mi.

Limited vegan options - Edit
This is a small Vietnamese restaurant on the south side of the Dayton Mall. They have a fairly large menu, with a small portion of the menu being "vegetable." Nothing overly spectacular in most other cities, but Dayton is pretty much a vegan desert, so this is a good option for a traveling vegan. The good thing here is that they do know what vegan is and are careful to make whatever you order vegan. That is a huge plus, as many "vegan friendly" places are actually very careless and loose with their preparations. The description above states that many dishes are made with seitan, but I saw no seitan on the menu, only tofu.
