Good. - Edit
It was good. The cake was nice, not too sweet, not too bitter, just right. The chips were fresh. What I would say is that they should give more ketchup.

Best jacket potato - Edit
The Phoenix has loads of vegan options that are all great (that I’ve tried) I usually get a jacket potato with vegan coleslaw, butter & beans and it’s always perfection. The vegan burrito is also really nice. I’ve not had the breakfast (yet) but it looks great.

My Vegan Go To! - Edit
I practically live here. Do all my admin in their wonderful cafe as they have great Wi-Fi and the best vegan options on town.
Read moreStaff understand what veganism is and are really helpful!
My faves are the vegan breakfast (includes vegan butter!), smokey maple tofu toastie and the falafel salad (proper chunky falafels!)
Portion sizes are ace. The quality of the food is brill. And with so many vegan staff the menu is always updated especially the specials on the chalkboard.
If you want somewhere to go for lunch or even dinner. It's fantastic and has a car park too.
Their soya cappuccinos sprinkled with vegan chocolate are sublime too!

Excellent selection - Edit
There were so many amazing vegan options to choose from, it was almost too hard to pick! I ended up getting the vegan stew from the specials board (which had two vegan options on this day!) It was incredible: containing root veg, potatoes and lentils in a thick red wine stew. The veg (I'm guessing was turnip and parsnip, it was hard to tell, due to the red wine) almost took on a seitan-like appearance, it was both unique and tasty. My mother, whom eats meat, even chose a vegan option! She had the falafel and olive salad, the falafels were the biggest I'd ever seen, almost veggie-burger sized!
