Best Vegan Mexican Food! - Edit
We have been here 3 times now. Excellent food, excellent people. We just couldn’t believe it was vegan. The Patties burrito and the Adobado Fries are our favorite. This is our go-to close to home.

I had ordered the adobada fries, mole fries, California burrito, and the aguas frescas. The food barely had any taste to them and the meat protein wasn’t seasoned well. The food wasn’t worth how much they charge.

Must have been a bad day, I have not had any of those issues and I usually question if it is even vegan because it tastes so authentic. But everyone has their own tastes. Maybe give them a second chance. ♥️😁👍

I ordered the Queretaro style enchiladas with rajas con crema & huitlacoche fillings with rice & beans. I love rice and beans and they were super tasty here. Also nice knowing that it’s all vegan so no lard! The enchiladas were yummy.

Real Mexican Food Done Vegan! - Edit
This authentic, 100% vegan, Mexican restaurant has an in credibly diverse menu ranging from familiar to adventurous. Totally worth a visit to Escondido (and multiple repeats). Pro tip, take it to go and enjoy it at the historic Grape Day Park just up the street. Amazing Mexican food and a scenic setting, it doesn't get better than that!

We do. And we couldn't believe that we JUST found out about Phatties. We went during our last trip to San Diego and are already salivating for more. I went for the flan which is unavailable at this time. They do have Horchata but it is off and on, depending when they choose it as one of the daily agua frescas. This is truly Mexican food, with all of the flavors and deliciousness that comes with it.

First off I really appreciate the attention to detail in all their menu items. Everything we got was freshly prepared and was definitely worth the wait. Second is the friendly staff. Even though it was busy, Raul still was kind enough to chat with us about how their restaurant converted to 100% Vegan.

I got the California burrito and as a former meat eater this is hands down the most comparable burrito to the greasy taco shops California burrito. The wife got the mexi bowl without protein and she’s a meat eater and loved the bowl. We will eat there again.

This is great authentic Mexican food, not like a fast food chain or American style Mexican restaurant. I've been here twice, with non-vegan family, and I had no idea what I was ordering because they are authentic dishes that I'm not familiar with (and no picture) but I've been so pleased with what I had. I'm sold! I'll be back!

Great little Mexican restaurant with a 100% vegan menu. Rivals all the Mexican the food choices in the area, vegan or not. Service was fast and friendly. We had the Emoladas and the Chile Relleno. Both were outstanding and presented beautifully. Will definitely be back soon!
