Amazing sandwiches - Edit
This place was a positive surprise! I had the vegan melt with a salad for a rather low price, I received a huge sandwich and salad with a serious amount of dressing. Moreover, the slightly alternative, dive-y vibe and décor was pleasant!

Excellent Sammys - Edit
Ordered the vegan melt and I liked it but thought the chimichurri sauce was a little overpowering. Nothing too bad. I would love to try other sandwiches from here. They all sound pretty good.

Amazeballs, one million stars! - Edit
Friendliest staff and the most amazing sandwiches omg. I came back for at least three meals over the weekend I was in town; for one of them, I ordered every veg sandwich for takeout to have a "tasting" party with friends. Everyone had different opinions but the buffalo melt was my absolute favorite (followed by the melt, the Philly, and the Reuben). Sooo good. Ambiance-wise, this is absolutely a local dive bar gem and the regulars may have given me a bit of a side eye when I walked in looking out of place, but the bartenders were SO friendly and delightful, it didn't feel unwelcoming at all. I would for sure be a regular if I lived in the area. But I'll be back!! The food and the beer offerings are all phenomenal. Note: they offer a variety of chip flavors as a side for the sandwiches, all the choices are vegan except for the Maui Onion flavor (which the bartenders know and will warn you about! It has milk powder in it because of course it does).

Solid spot with vegan menu! - Edit
Always cool to see unexpected places - especially bars - that offer vegan meat alternatives vs. just veggies & tofu (though I do love both, haha). They offer five vegan options — four sandwiches and a salad.
Read moreThe vegan philly was good! Pretty filling, flavorful, and the bread was soft. Upgraded to a side salad with vegan ranch.

Housemade seitan?! - Edit
Tasty spot! Good enough I’d go back but didn’t looove the Rueben. Felt like the Philly was better. I’ll try the Buffalo Sammy next time! Loved that they make stuff in house and have so many options and actually tasty/quality vegan ingredients. Also actually reasonably priced which was refreshing.

Buffalo Anything - Edit
Tacoma bars offer some of the best vegan food in town and 1111 is no exception. You can’t go wrong with any of the items that feature buffalo sauce and house made vegan ranch.

Vegan Rueben of my Dreams - Edit
Loved my experience at Peterson Bros 1111 (that’s the actual name). The waitress was super sweet and helpful. The Rueben was amazing. I subbed a salad (up charge of $2.25!) with the vegan ranch they have. Absolutely delish!

Great food! Awesome dive bar - Edit
A place that makes their own meats always starts off in a good place with me. I had the Reuben which always is a risk because they tend to be really greasy, but it was amazing! It was delicious. Had vegan salad dressing options for the side salad. Definitely will be coming back.

Sandwiches done correctly - Edit
Dunno if "shabby" was meant to be a good or bad, but the bar has a noticeably long history and it's divey with a lot of chotchkies. Separated vegan menu with great sandwiches! As a New Yorker, the Reuben is hands down the best vegan Reuben I've had on the west coast. The Buffalo soy curl sammie had a great heat and awesome texture. 1111 knows how to sauce well. I could easily feed these to my meat-eating friends and they'd be wonderfully surprised at the comfort food quality. If you need a quick bite and a drink, this is your spot!

Dream about this place - Edit
Before going on a 7 day hike it was decided we’d go straight here after completing the 93 mile trek. It was talked and dreamt about the whole week when the day finally came it did not disappoint. Quite possibly the best vegan sandwiches Ive had and will ever have! The bread is what takes these hoagies to the next level. The filling to bread ratio is just perfect, it’s an unassuming dive bar, I could on and on. We’ve eaten the Reuben, the Buffalo and the vegan melt, obviously will have to return for the Philly.

Hit the spot, great bartender! - Edit
Covered the vegan sandwich menu.
Read moreThe Reuben-- oh wow. Rye hoagie, yes, rye. Wow. Well proportioned seitan, kraut, cheese, Russian dressing.
The Philly-- white hoagie w too few peppers/onions but good amount seitan and whiz. Great whiz.
The Melt-- sourdough hoagie. Spicy chimichuri sauce, chopped toms and lettuce. Nice cheese slice on goodly amount seitan. Advertised as "meatloaf", nope.
The Buffalo melt-- white hoagie. Medium spice sauce, tangy ranch and creamy melted cheese. Soy curls well dowsed in Buffalo sauce.
All w full size hoagie roll type bread. Soft, warm, perfect. Great squish factor.

Reuben + chocolate cake - Edit
We drove almost an hour to get here, and it was worth it! The Reuben was excellent. It was served with a small bag of chips and I was still a little hungry after. No vegan appetizers, but there are vegan dressings available for salads. We also got the chocolate cake and it was perfectly moist and absolutely scrumptious!
