A train from Cusco to Puno or visa versa with a restaurant on-board with vegan choices. The three course dinner is included with the purchase of the train ticket. The crew is very accommodating to vegan travelers. Fusion, international, raw, Peruvian cuisine is served.

I have been all over the world and I can typically find something veg or vegan nearly anywhere I go. Peru Rail is no exception. They are trying to be accommodating.

For the train from Cusco to Puno: While items on the menu are not landed vegan, they were happy to prepare a salad instead of the cream soup, the vegetarian dish without any dairy, and fruit for dessert. You definitely will not go hungry.

On both trains, staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. It made the trips very pleasant.

Didn't know what to expect when boarding the train in Puno. But the staff is very accommodating for people with a vegan diet. With drinks and light snacks we snaked our way through the Peruvian countryside at 12000 feet. A couple hours into our journey we started our four course lunch. Wonderfully prepared vegan dishes with great flavors. Great live music with Peruvian dancing in traditional clothing from that region. We had a great time and the landscape is breathtaking. Not bad for a 10 hour train ride with food, drinks (2 glasses of wine) music, dancing meeting new people all for $179 one of my best trips ever
