My Favorite Restaurant in Lisbon!!! - Edit
This was our second time to Pequeno Café e Bistro at their Principe Real location--we've also visited their other location at the Arroios Marketplace--and it's a pity we've waited so long to return! This time around, "Duda" (who was doing hosting duties the first time we visited) was back to her forté and manning the chef's duties (while Madelena hosted), and she conjured-up her popular Eggs Benedict for us, which was yummy and satisfying. The menu changes weekly, and what's at this eatery may not be the same at their other site. The first time we visited for lunch, I had a bowl of fried rice with veggies and lentils, tempeh and salad (Superb!), along with a slice of pineapple/coconut cake (Woah!). After the Christmas holiday, we'll be popping back in to try this week's latest: seitan stroganoff. (My better-half had the veggie "escondidinha," with beets and white bean salad. I had a few bites and was "wowed!") In summary: Pequeno Café e Bistro gets two MAJOR thumb's-up from me!!! Will definitely be back...!!! 😄 (PS: Been back a third time!)

The sister stores are equally as good - Edit
I’ve been to Pequeno Café e Bistrô twice now, and it’s still my favorite spot! This time, I was determined to try the Eggs Benedict. I saw it on the table next to us the first time I went and couldn’t resist. It was absolutely delicious! Top it with a hot chocolate and a chocolate cookie for dessert, and you’ll be in heaven. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The chocolate cookies were probably the best I’ve ever had. When we walked in, Madelana greeted us warmly and friendly. Duda, who we met the first time, came out from the kitchen to say hello too. We felt so welcome. Pequeno Café is a hidden gem in the Lisboa area. We’ll definitely be back before we leave this amazing city!

Took my omni friend and we both had the brunch, was much bigger than it sounds, with all components a hit for us both. Reasonable value too. Great service, cute spot. Will go again.

Fantastic Specials, Great People - Edit
We stopped in because they were open earlier than other veg places around. We are really glad we did! We had the two specials and they were great. Thanks Happy Cow for steering us straight again.

Eggs Benedict, Cauliflower Soup and Matcha - Edit
Staff was really friendly and the plates and bowls were incredibly pretty. Eggs Benedict was tasty but the soup needs a bit more flavour. Matcha was mediocre.💫

Cute - Edit
Food was good, but they didn’t have a lot of breakfast options, or rather simple brekkie options. The staff and interior were wonderful.

It was fine - Edit
I know my review is going against all the other 5 star reviews, but we weren't blown away
Read moreWe got the "eggs benedict" but all it was, was scrambled tofu on toast with a sauce on top.
The bread was really hard on the edges and hard to cut. The tofu scramble was fine, nothing to write home about. I didn't think the hollandaise had much flavour either.
Overall it wasn't bad, but it was just a little "meh"

Delicious vegan food and the best cookie - Edit
Pequeno Café e Bistrô is one of my favorite spots in Lisbon. Their weekly menu is always inventive and delicious, and I loved the vichyssoise soup and gado gado dish. From the regular menu, the vegan Benedict was simply amazing, and the dark chocolate cookie is the best vegan cookie I've ever tasted.
Read moreI went back for dinner and loved their selection of vegan cheeses, especially the vegan Camembert. Their wine selection is excellent too. The staff are super nice and make you feel right at home. I wish I had this restaurant back home—I'd be a regular for sure! Highly recommended for anyone in Lisbon.

Delightful and delicious - Edit
Pequeno was a delightful choice for lunch, and if we'd had more time in Lisbon I'd have loved to go back there for another meal. We had the quiche and the quinoa salad, and both were bursting with flavour and simply delicious.
Read more(We also shared the cheese board, which was the only 'miss' for us, as the firmer almond and sunflower cheeses were much too mild for our tastes. There was one soft cheese that was very nice and flavourful, though.)
The staff were really lovely, and took us through the menu in English, and at our request suggested some wine matches which we both liked. We also found the environment very pleasent. All in all a very enjoyable dining experience -- happily recommended.
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly helpful staff, Cosy ambiance
Cons: Vegan cheese board wasn't to our tastes

Lovely place - Edit
There are so many places to discover in Lisbon. I was here on Sunday with an omni. The owner was very friendly and brought a carafe of water. We both had a little veggie quiche and salad. And we both loved it, especially obsessed with the substantial healthy-tasting crust. It was so good. The filling was extremely rich! My only issue was my salad was very salty and had some brown leaves, probably because it was a Sunday. Really nice experience. Looking forward to returning for the cheese toasts.

Super Fresh and Delicious - Edit
This cafe has a cute ambiance, and you can tell immediately they’re proud to source ingredients locally and to make everything in house. Our server explained the entire menu to us and provided great recommendations. All of the food, especially the cheeses, tasted fresh and homemade. We ate the baked Camembert cheese, which was one of the most unique and delicious vegan cheeses I’ve had. We also got the quiche and mushroom toast. Both had a ton of flavor. The coffee and sweets were delicious also!
