This is a great spot in Hermanus with a lovely view. We had the falafel tacos, poke bowl, fried rice, turmeric cauliflower and the star of the show was the bang bang cauliflower.

Pear Tree is my go to lunch spot in Hermanus. Try their vegan tacos for breakfast, or go off-menu with tofu scramble on toast instead. For lunch, have a gorgeous poke bowl or a delicious burger. They even offer a vegan dessert! Although the showstopper is no longer on the menu. Delightful with a great view too!

Lovely restaurant near the sea. Many vegan options. I ordered the falafel tostada. It was okay. A bit on the oily side for me personally. Would like to try their vegan meatball pasta dish. Wasn’t hungry enough for that though.

I had the burnt cauliflower bowl at Pear Tree and it was so delicious! It came with lentils in a red curry sauce. So good! Was really impressed with the food.
Read moreIt seems like they have less options than what they had in previous years from what I can see on earlier reviews, but there are still plenty of nice bowls, a vegan pasta and a vegan burger. Would definitely come back here!

The food here is absolutely incredible. We had a starter off the specials menu to share, a main each and a dessert each and I enjoyed every single mouthful. Some of the food sounds really simple and like it may be plain but trust me, it is not! Honestly it's one of the best meals I've had in my life and topped off by seeing a whale whilst we were eating. We are so sad we're not in Hermanus for longer to eat here again! I'd highly recommend!

Theay have several vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu. If you tell them that you are a vegan, they can veganize almost all vegetarian dishes. We've tried many of them and found them all delicious. The vegan brownie desert was huuuge.
