closed - so sad to see it go :(

Edit from previous review: closed - doing some pop-ups in hastings (see Facebook). Will be hugely missed.

Previous review:
A lovely little vegan burger place right on the sea front in Bexhill. Very friendly and down to earth, tasty burgers, chips, wide range of salads, really good homemade cake. Tables out front with a fantastic sea view - a really special place!

You can get coffee from the next door stall which seems to be run by members of the same family

Pros: friendly, vegan, tasty

Cons: no indoor seating or toilets

Best Gluten Free Cake

I love Patty&Franks. Vegan but also gluten free friendly. The quiche is always a winner and I love love her cakes. As someone else has mentioned, the chocolate and raspberry cake is gorgeous. Light, fluffy and scrummy.

Pros: Totally Vegan, Coeliac friendly too , Lovely homemade food

Cons: can be weather dependent

Disappointed

Unfortunately didn't meet expectations. I feel they are focused on cost rather that customer satisfaction. Didn't feel great after eating the burger and chips.

Pros: Nice location on the beach front.

Fabulous 'fish' and chips by the seaside!

I visited on a beautiful sunny day when they had a special 'nish and chips' weekend (look on their Facebook page for whats coming up). It was very popular and the staff were busy but friendly and I chatted to local vegans in the queue. The food was delicious and it was a lovely setting on the promenade with a view out to sea.

Pros: All vegan, Right on the seafront

Cons: Limited seating but benches (or the beach) nearby

Delicious

I found Patty&Franks through Happy Cow and I was not disappointed. After ordering a vegan hot dog with spinach, mushrooms and onions and chips I sat and enjoyed the sunshine and the sea view. As it is January, it was a little bit chilly but they had provided cosy blankets on the majority of the chairs so I wrapped up warm. The food was very quick to come out and was absolutely delicious! The portion was very generous, too! After eating I had the yummiest Oreo milkshake I have ever tried and that too was vegan! The owners were lovely, the food was perfect and the prices were very reasonable.

Perfect food & location!

Everything was perfect! Had the seitan steak which was amazing in texture and flavour, and had a load of fried onions and mushrooms, and loads of pickles. Even the bap was light and tasty. All this for £5! Chocolate amaretto cake was great too. Cute little outdoors cafe facing the sea.

Pros: quality, price, location
