What a Lovely Surprise

I visited Park 121 a couple years ago and was really disappointed in their vegan options. I finally returned recently on my way home from Marin and was shocked by the improvements. They have a delicious vegan warm farro & vegetable bowl that is delicious. They also offer an Antipasti plate that include 7 vegan choices. I tried the soy glazed mushrooms, the lima beans with herbs & EVOO, the roasted golden beets & onion and the olives with orange zest. It was all delicious. They can also veganize all of their salads. The citrus vinaigrette dressing is really good. The black sesame & garbanzo hummus can be made without the cheese & is one of their daily specials for just $8. The small plate salad - Simple Green is vegan. And the veggie sandwich is made on their vegan-friendly sourdough. Just order without the chipotle & cheese. The Sonoma Hard Cider is even vegan. And my husband and I loved it. They offer almond milk and I highly suggest their chai tea latte. It is sweet, warm and delicious. You can sit inside but we chose one of their outdoor tables which even in December is enjoyable thanks to the outdoor heaters. The restaurant is located in Cornerstone Sonoma Marketplace which has beautiful gardens to enjoy. During the winter they also have an ice skating rink so it is a big draw for families. There are several places to taste wine and spirits - in fact Meadowcroft's wines are vegan. And there are several boutiques for shopping. I love the place. And now that I know how vegan friendly their menu is I plan to stop by again the next time I'm heading home to Napa from Marin!

Pros: Many delicious vegan options, The server knew what was & wasn't vegan, Great location - love the Cornerstone Marketplace

Cons: all soups contain milk or chicken stock, no vegan desserts, 4% back of house service charge added to the tab

lots of options

The entire wine country is tough for vegans with very limited choices. Park 121 has a lot to offer and lots of vegan side dishes. Food is clean, potions plenty and the setting is lovely. The best choice for lunch in the wine country for vegans.

Pros: lots of options, clean and fresh food
