Still open! Same location! Still delicious! - Edit
Sergio's Vegan Food sign is now painted on the back wall and in the google seach. Menu, and the sign with hours still says Paradise Vegan. The menu has been updated and is now in Spanish and English. They also now have a separate menu for meat eaters. It's mostly vegan with a few meat options. They still do a different daily special at lunch. Food is very flavorful! Same location as before and same hours. Highly recommended!

Tamales are incredible - Edit
Was just in Cozamel for a week and had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at Paradise Vegan. It's not temporarily closed. It's very much open, so ignore the status on Happy Cow and go there. I had tamales with a fabulous mole sauce and wonderful refried beans. The portion was generous, so I was able to make two meals out of it.

Went here for lunch and tried the tofu scramble, falafel wrap and tacos with friends, they were all so delicious, especially the tofu scramble. Recommend going here !!

Delicious, home style Mexican vegan cooking - Edit
Come here for homestyle Mexican vegan food, don’t expect anything upscale. I came here for breakfast/lunch multiple times. The staff is very kind and friendly. The space is cute, small, and homey. Their burritos are delicious and their scrambled tofu dishes taste like a nutritious, home-cooked meal. Their mole chilaquiles also had a nice texture and taste. The hotcakes were also really good, I just wish they came with more jam or agave syrup. The portion sizes are pretty generous and the menu has a lot of options to choose from.

Cute tiny place and friendly staff. We had breakfast (hot cakes and scrambled tofu) and they were good. The smoothies were a bit tasteless and odd (not sure I would call them even smoothies), so maybe they could upgrade them a little.

We came up for breakfast one day it was well worth the trip! I had the breakfast burrito and it was wonderful! The seasoning was soo tasty! My partner had the red chilaquiles and they were delicious with the perfect amount of hot spice!

There’s lots of vegan options here in Cozumel. So if you like trying all the places and you have the time, I think it’s worth supporting this cute little establishment.

I’m only giving it a fair rating because truly I was not overly “wowed”.
But it’s cute!! Brightly colored and I love their logo. They should make reusable totes and shirts 😉
Anyway, the location is a bit by itself on the road it’s on. Not a lot going on to look at. It’s small and not vibey. When we went, they were not playing music. They don’t have wifi. You’re there for the food, the company you are with, and to support super kind people who own and run it.
I got the mole. I liked how it was different than the mole I got at another vegan restaurant here. Crunchy! I think it was like soy bits. I thought that was fun and the mole delicious. However we were the only ones there and the food did not come out hot so I’m still not entirely sure what to think about that. I then looked at the menu and noticed that there wasn’t anything listed (like a salad) that would necessitate being totally fresh. The menu is vegan Mexican with a section also called “fast food”. So, I would say the menu is kind but not necessarily “healthy”.
The people working there were so sweet though. I’m glad we gave them some business and do wish they would start merchandising with their logo.

We ordered 3 different dish; the Enchiladas mole con soya, Tacos al pastor and Tacos with chickpea sausage. We liked the mole sauce and the refried beans but the soy meat filling was really dry. The tacos al pastor were quite boring with very few toppings but the tacos with chickpea sausage were delicious.

I found this place when visiting Cozumel for the first time after searching Happy Cow for vegan options. Finally authentic Mexican food made vegan, which I was so excited for when coming to Playa Del Carmen! We had the chorizo tacos, the molletes, and tortas. Everything was delicious, but our favourite was the molletes. So tasty!!! It’s a hole in the wall, but such a gem, with fantastic service!!!

This is the best food I’ve had in Cozumel hands down, and for the best price. The scrambled tofu burrito with chickpea sausage was soooo delicious and I love that it’s locally owned and operated. Staff was so friendly and nice. I love the low key atmosphere here too. Fantastic place for a Sunday brunch 👍

We have eaten here every day while we have been in Cozumel. The owners are very friendly and attentive. There are many typical Mexican dishes in Vegan. We ordered the daily special every day, which was always delicious. I would say in our 4 weeks in Mexico we never ate so good🥰

In Playa, Cancun, Tulum there are a ton of "top rated" restaurants. Then you come here, totally uninstagrammable and unpretentious place that looks like a garage with plastic chairs and 3 tables; yet Sergio and his father? can cook 10 times better than chefs from those top rated Instagram posting places. Food is not pretty, neither well presented, more like what you would cook at home, however the flavours are all there. Oh and it's cheap! Guess what, just because I am a tourist i don't have to be ripped off? Naaaaa #controversial

Mexican style burrito is super good. Tacos were very dry, would not order those again. Enchiladas very good. Rice was also very good. Horchata was some of the best. The price you just can't beat, totally coming back!
