Great vegan baked potatoes!

I had The Scream. It’s a large organic russet with chili, vegan cheese smothered on top, pickled onions, and chives. I added coconut bacon. It was very good and cheesy! I loved the coconut bacon.

Pros: All vegan, Homemade chili and queso, Organic ingredients

Such potatoes! 🥔 ❤️

I’m loving this place. A fine addition to Seattle’s all-vegan lineup.

I like to get a russet with the poutine gravy as the base, and add on the coconut bacon, garlic aioli, nut cheese, microgreens, and whatever else I’m in the mood for.

Well worth a visit!

Pros: Great spuds and toppings. , Chill atmosphere. , Friendly staff.

Awesome new place!

Nice selection at a solid price! Also love the location on that cute strip. Their queso, bacon chips, and red chili were devine. I’d recommend The Scream or The American Gothic. Also loved their milkshake, just wish it was a little bit bigger for the price!

Delicious!!!

This was by far the best and most whole food plant based meal I’ve had since going Vegan! The staff are friendly and the food is fresh and fab! We will be back! In the meantime, expand to the downtown coordinator - or Beacon Hill/Columbia City!

Pros: Whole food plant based, Fresh ingredients, Affordable

Cons: Ballard is SO far from downtown!

Papas Hot Potatoes is Hot Stuff

Papa's Hot Potatoes just opened today so I thought I'd go check it out and I was pleasantly surprised. Today I had one of their signature potatoes called The Scream, named after the painting, and a side of the Smoky Red Chili. Both were great, but I have to mention that the Smoky Red Chili was rich, hearty, full of fresh vegetables, and easily scored a 10/10 for tasty food. I loved the potato I had, but I want to try the rest of the signature potatoes before I make a specific recommendation on those. Speaking of which take a moment to read their menu online they have some interesting ingredients and combinations.

A few other things that stand out. I felt like all the food was healthier than I expected when I first saw the menu. The food I had wasn't greasy or oily at all, and I enjoyed every bite of it. The way you go about ordering the potatoes seems a little like going through a sandwich shop where you can watch them make your food which makes the experience seems very casual at first, but in contrast to that, the restaurant is very stylish in ways and also has a great vibe to it. Things also seemed very clean and it appeared that a lot of attention had been paid to smaller details. The staff also seemed nice. I'm delighted that this opened where it did and am looking forward to going back there again sometime soon.

Update: Went back again and had the Mona Lisa with the coconut bacon (uploaded photo) definitely try the coconut bacon as a topping it's really good.

2018-12-28 update: I've been back close to 10 times by now. This place is great but you will definitely want to try a few different items to figure out which toppings you like best. I think for someones first visit it might even be wise to have them add a lot of toppings so they can sample more of the wonderful toppings and get a feel for what they would want on future orders. Or if they are really hungry, or wanting to take home leftovers, simply order the Papas Grande.
