Very reasonable prices! - Edit
The vegan udon noodles I got were quite good but nothing special. But the prices here are surprisingly low - especially for Berlin.

Good spot for lunch - Edit
Nice restaurant with lots of interesting vegan choices, and very friendly and reasonably priced. Really good place to stop for lunch, particularly with non-vegan friends.

cheap yummy vegan options - Edit
Papa no offers several vegan (declared dishes) wich are super yummy and even include meat substitutes (if that's what you are looking for). The vegan "chicken" curry is really good!!!!

Who's the daddy? - Edit
I visited here twice during my recent trip to Berlin, as it was close to my hotel. One of the main pros of Papa No is the separate vegan menu, which has lots of dishes available and all at affordable prices. On my first visit I ordered the Pad Thai Pang (€6.80), which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was fresh, tasty and nicely spiced. On my second visit I went with a meat eating friend and I ordered the shiitake maki and vegan duck breast (€8.50) with a pu'er tea. The shiitake maki was a little bland and the wasabi was so hot, which was disappointing and although the mock duck breast had a superb texture, it just lacked seasoning. I also thought the red curry sauce needed more depth of flavour as well. The staff were friendly but could have been a bit more attentive, although I think the girl serving us was possibly new. Personally, this was very much a tale of two visits but it's a good option for both vegans and non-vegans to eat together.

So-so... - Edit
It took surprisingly long time before the staff greeted me even though they had seen me come in. I had to find my own menu and just sit at a table, not knowing if it was okay. They had a special vegan week menu and I choose the "udon noodles with a mix of Asian mushrooms". It seem like there only were ordinary mushrooms and one kind of Asian ones. And the dish was served in a soy broth (tasted only of soy sauce). It didn't say on the menu that it would be served with a liquid. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known...

Fulfills every point of a Asian restaurant. - Edit
I really enjoyed my visit at the Papa No, since I was craving for vegan sushi a lot and even if there are plenty sushi restaurants in Berlin, most of them don't have vegan options. The sushi menu box is labeled as vegetarian, as many others, but I asked the waitress if I could order that menu as vegan as well and they just made me a plate with a selection of vegan versions. The tofu nigiri was very tasty and the vegetables were fresh.! They have plenty other classical Asian dishes with vegan mock meat and had a "vegan week" while we visited with even more offers. My boyfriend had the Pad Thai with vegan "calf" and was also very pleased! A huge plus is that the staff is really well informed about veganism and that they have a open kitchen, where you can watch them prepare your food. The colored rice is also vegan, btw. ;) If you are looking for vegan sushi in Berlin, this is the place to go!
