Vibes and vegan food - Edit
When on La Palma, don't miss this amazing restaurant! Lovely people, the friendliest service and the food is to die for. Almost everything on the menu is vegan and super tasty, from burgers, bowls to homemade cakes and fresh juices. The garden is like an oasis just next to the lava fields, whilst the interior is cozy and colourful. 100% recommended.

In the only 100% vegetarian restaurant on La Palma you can enjoy a delicious meal in a quiet shady garden on the edge of the lava fields. There is a relaxed atmosphere and there are many tasty dishes on the menu.

Literally a stone throw away from the lava spill, there is so many dishes to choose from, savory and sweet, that you could just spend your whole holiday there and still miss it on your flight back

Secret saved from the volcano - Edit
Great little cafe that came within 5 metres of being obliterated by the volcano. Recently reopened. About 500m from the cafe is a small hill Montaña La Laguna from the summit of which you can see the new volcano and the immense lava flows down to the sea. Well worth a walk #Veganuary

This is a paradise for vegans on this islands. Seeing how popular it is, I wonder why there aren't more. But this is definetly a must-go-to. We loved the gofio pancakes and special drinks like the orient-shake. It is not expensive and the whole location looks really nice. The portions are rather small, so you can order a few things when you are really hungry and want to try different things😉

This is without any doubt one of the best places where I have ever eaten vegan food. The food is just amazing, the service kind and the place charming. They have a lovely indoor sunny terrace. The lunch menu changes every day and always offers great and healthy options. They also have a super wide selection of desserts, most of them vegan. If you are in La Palma, this place is unmissable! We enjoyed a very tasty breakfast (I recommend gofio pancakes with tahini and toast with avocado and olive oil) in the café's nice garden. The cakes also looked very nice. The price was so low that I had to check the bill twice. ;-)

This is an island with not many options, so coming here was like coming to paradise for me. They had many vegan options on the menu, and the food was really great. The place was also really charming with a backyard/garden with a big palm tree, a little play corner for the little ones and some tables, all very cozy. The treatment from the staff excellent and the food really really good. They have some breakfast options and some lunch options, and also a variety of cakes and other sweets (many vegan options).
Read moreWe had "Today's rice dish" which was a type of paella, a today's salad with potatoes and the bread that is like a foccacia. Everything was heavenly. One of the plates came with a vegan "alioli" that was sooo tasty. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to other travelers.
We had a chocolate mouse with cream for dessert (all vegan!) and it was a delicious end to a great meal.

Read moreThe staff was so friendly and helpful. The food so tasty and fresh. You can feel everything it’s homemade. Natural smoothies, hand made bread (with gluten free option), a large variety of cakes (lots of them vegan, gluten free and sugar free), and every day you can find a different main meal (my favorite the vegan PAELLA!).
Also they have a nice and peaceful terrace and very cheap prices compared to the quality they have and other vegan options on the island.

Delicious homemade food made by friendly people. Vegetarian and vegan paradise. We tried many diferent things sweet and salty and EVERYTHING was so delicious. Cozy peacful pleace with good music. I feel very relaxed here. Pleace is also child-friendly with the nice garden and the playing corner for small children. For us it was also important that many of sweet things was without sugar😄We found oure favorite cafeteria on La Isla Bonita!

We went there for lunch and tried foccacia and paella. For desserts we had an energy ball and banana coconut cake. We also had some other things and didn't pay much for so much to taste. Everything we tried was vegan and really yummy.

My favourite - Edit
Palmerita Café had only been open for about a week or so when we went there for the first time, for a late lunch, and we liked it so much we came back for Sunday brunch a few days later. It is definitely my favourite among the various vegan friendly places on La Palma, and well worth a visit (or two!). For lunch I had the vegan pâté plate, which consisted of four types of homemade spreads: a herby sundried tomato spread, a silky smooth beetroot dip, an olive and pumpkin seed pâté, and a very nice humus. My flexitarian significant other had the cheese plate: a selection of local goats cheeses which was, I am told, also very tasty. Both came with two types of fresh homemade bread, and plenty of crackers. For dessert we had a coffee “tarta” – a glutenfree and delicious take on tiramisu. When we came back for brunch, the day’s special were homemade vegan donuts, with pumpkin I believe, which were a revelation, slightly crispy on the outside and beautifully fluffy in the middle. We finished one portion and then shamelessly ordered another one, they were that good. I also had the vegan banana pancakes, which were just the right of stodgy and covered in a satisfying amount of fresh fruit.

Fantastic Vegetarian / Vegan café. Brand new! - Edit
We were so lucky to check Happy cow and drive to this gem. It turns out they only opened this week! Lovely, friendly staff who have put a lot of love and hard work into the small details. It's very affordable too! Definitely recommended over the 4 or 5 in Los Llanos centre as they all serve meat and this one does not!
