Delicious beans/lentils and rice, all sides are vegan - Edit
They only have two vegan mains but if you like beans/lentils and rice, you'll find them delicious. All their sides are vegan too, I like their rices, spinach, and collards.

hands down my favorite local restaurant - Edit
Not only are all 4 vegan entrees great, there are 2 awesome vegan appetizers, & all the sides are vegan & delicious, including collards, plantains, sweet potatoes, spinach, & potatoes. This family-run restaurant makes you feel like you're a part of the family, & they will work w/ you to make sure you get just what you want. I'm super careful about what I eat, & I know I can trust everything that comes out of their kitchen. I've never had a bad meal here!

My favorite restaurant on earth. Would give 5 stars if HappyCow’d let me! - Edit
The food is fantastic, clean, and full of love. Vegan menu. Huge portions. Affordable. Fast. Knowledgable staff. Great for folks w/food sensitivities who need to know they're eating clean. Also...DELICIOUS. Can't say enough good things about this wonderful restaurant!
Read moreALWAYS the friendliest service. The staff are funny, and make you feel like family. Been going here at least once a week for a long time & I've never had a single bad experience. Which is saying a lot--I worked in food service for years and I got high expectations😉My coworker once left her water bottle here, and the waitress held onto it for 3 MONTHS until my coworker ate there again. I mean...dang.
Pros: Full vegan menu/huge portions, AMAZING clean food (GF friendly too!), Incredible service, feels like family
Cons: Closed sun/mon so I can only go 5x/wk ;)

Flavorful Vegan Options - Edit
Vegan options are clearly labeled. Food has a great taste and reasonable prices. The meal was healthy and wholesome so I would visit again if I was in Durham. Staff is friendly.

a Durham gem! - Edit
I am lucky to live just 3 blocks from Palace Int'l. and although I don't go as often as I should, I always enjoy it. The owners and their family are always very welcoming, and the food is delicious. For some reason, they haven't gotten much buzz locally among vegans in Durham but I hope that changes soon! They label veg/vegan on the menu and staff are knowledgeable. I love all 4 of the vegan entrees but the green lentil curry dish is probably my favorite, followed closely by the groundnut butter curry. The portions are good sized and filling. They are located just a few blocks from Duke east campus, next to Joe Van Gogh on Broad St.
