First up, this hot chocolate was dope and utilised a full clove of cinnamon in your cup - a full clove of flavour! Made with coconut milk and served at a safe for consumption temp, you'd have to be coco-nuts to not get it!
The vegan burrito? Simple but tasty, three vegan sauces to choose from, I preferred the chipotle but that is just me. The staff on hand were super accommodating and even cut it in half, a very good look and perfect for adding sauce.
Overall, definitely worth trying - it has given me one question, a question that has hit me strongly since arriving in Tasmania...why does everyone serve Wallaby here?
My teenage daughter has been overseas as an exchange student; her number one request is to have a vegan burrito from here waiting for her at the airport as soon as she returns (doesn't matter that she gets in at 9pm and it will surely be cold :) )
Lovely market stall that has four burittos at anyone time- one vegan, one meat (wallaby), two vegetarian. The variety changes seasonally and they try to use local produce. Staff were friendly and the girl serving was also vegan, though all their vegan options were clearly marked on the signage.
Had the vegan offering which included dakon, roasted pumpkin, quinoa, beans and cashew cheese. Excellent mix of flavours and large serving size (very glad I had a half!) Being winter they were also selling vegan hot chocolate that was advertised as "chilli & cinnamon". The chilli wasn't overpowering and the cinnamon involved putting a whole cinnamon stick into the cup. The hot chocolate was thick and also was made with coconut milk. Delicious.
Yes, they serve wallaby....Which made me hesitant to try their stuff....
But I'm glad I did!
The staff were very friendly and the vegan burrito was.... Oh, to die for! (And the ironic thing is, no one died for it! Get it? Ah, it's a veggie joke.....).
We were at Salamanca markets at the time, which is decidedly un-veggie friendly for a lot of the stalls/eateries. So Pacha Mama was great to find.
Plus, they're quite inexpensive. A half burrito was $7, though after eating it, we probably could have eaten a whole one because it tasted so good (and fresh and healthy!).
Pacha Macha's vegan burrito is the main reason I go to Farm Gate Markets every Sunday. Staff are great, although a bit slow at times. They remembered my name after only a few weeks which is nice. The burritos ($7 half, $13 full) are delicious for breakfast or lunch, packed with all different toppings.
