Owl Sprit's vegan options were great

Owl Sprit cafe caters to both vegans and non-vegans. If I could, I would give this cafe 5 stars, but HappyCow only allows 5 stars for places that are fully vegan.

They have almost a dozen vegan choices on their menu. We had the (vegan) portobello mushroom Bánh Mì, and went back the next day for the same because we loved it so much. The first day we were there, their soup of the day happened to be an artichoke soup, which was very good. If we had been in town longer, we would have tried their other options as well.

The cafe is cozy and nicely decorated, and can seat perhaps 20 people. It also has a few outdoor tables.

Pros: the portobello Bánh Mì is excellent, The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, The cafe is cozy and nicely decorated

Cons: none

5-star experience with vegan options

Wow! wow! wow!
I love it when a restaurant offers original in-house vegan creations without falling back on the Impossible Burger or some other processed, packaged meat substitute.
In this regard, Owl Spirit delivered. We enjoyed the cauliflower taco bowl and the vegan burrito; on both, the kitchen was able to omit the cabbage.
The sweet potato fries were delicious and spicy.
For dessert, we tried the chocolate muffin and the caramel brownie. Delicious.

So good!

Every category on the menu at Owl Sprit has a vegan option. My party ordered the portobello burger and the bahn mi (Also with portobello), as well as the sweet potato fries. Everything was just excellent. Would love to try more ASAP.

Cons: Very small cafe!

Great spot with variety of vegan options including bowls and burritos. Portions were HUGE! We got take out and ate by the water- beautiful. The restaurant itself was cute and welcoming. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing vegan options

Had the mushroom bahn mi, 10/10. Then the vegan / gf brownie, 10/10. Really cute and cozy atmosphere, really nice staff. Came back 2 days later and tried the vegan cauliflower bowl, it was a nice large portion and so tasty, especially the chimichurri!

“A festive feast”

Lovely food in a lovely environment served by lovely people! This visit we ordered: sweet potato fries w/vegan sriracha mayo; fried Brussels sprouts w/vegan garlic aioli; pasta puttanesca; and a warm brownie with miso caramel sauce for dessert. Everything was so, so tasty. They even made a small bowl of rice and beans for our young daughter so we didn’t have to spend $18 heavily modifying their delicious looking grain bowls. My daughter described the meal as a “festive feast” and afterward declared that we were “eating like kings and queens!” So there you have it!

A good option, but wouldn't go back

Food was good, seating was not. The guy serving us was certainly an odd duck, but he was attentive. Probably wouldn't go back due to the small size - one toddler shows up and the experience is ruined for everyone.

Good food

This is a tiny European feel space. The food is labeled well and there were a few good GF and Vegan choices

Pros: Cute space, Clearly labeled menu

Cons: May have to wait to eat if it’s busy, Not enough vegan/ GF choices, Server was not warm

Decent vegan selections

Small, cozy restaurant with several vegan options. The burrito was delicious, but the bowl was cold. I recommend the restaurant, just don't get a bowl.

Pros: Several vegan options, Healthy options, Clean and cozy

Cons: Bowls would be better served warm

Get the Bahn Mi!

Several vegan options! The Vegan Portobello Banh Mi is a must try. It’s a huge sandwich and the taste is out of this world. I couldn’t stop eating it even though I was full. Can’t wait to go again.

Pros: Friendly service , Great vegan options , Organic & locally sourced ingredients

Cons: Spendy

Great vegan options

Take out only due to Covid. Significant vegan options and nondairy milk with no upcharge.
Basic sandwich/salad shop but great option in Port Townsend.

Best on Peninsula

Actually called Owl Sprit not Spirit. This little place has the best vegan and gluten free food on the Olympic Peninsula. Simple, Fresh and delicious. Be patient because the food isn’t premade garbage. This is one of the few places where you can get something that is gluten free and vegan. Often it is one or the other.

Pros: Tasty Vegan Options, Gluten Free AND Vegan options

What a Hoot!

I ordered the Cold Vegan Veggie sandwich and a cup of chili. The sandwich tasted fresh and the hummus was good. The "chili" was really just vegetable soup with beans, but it was pretty good.

Pros: vegan section on menu, local and organic ingredients, friendly staff

Cons: expensive

Lunch

The sweet potato fries with vegan siracha mayo were fabulous! I had the South buddha bowl and my husband had the Nori Bahn Mi sandwich. My bowl was huge, we easily could have split it. Very filling with great flavor. My husband really enjoyed his sandwich. I really wanted soup but the soup that day was french onion and it was made with beef stock. They could easily make it vegan for all their customers to enjoy.

Pros: Variety of vegan options, large portions

Cons: Very expensive

EXCELLENT FOOD, VIBE, and SERVICE!

I was driving through Port Townsend and found this place on Happy Cow. There were no reviews, but thought I'd give it a try. I'm SO glad I did! I wish I was staying in town longer so I could eat more of their delicious food!! They have a great and diverse menu, everything was fresh, made to order, and SOOO delicious! The staff were super friendly and the vibe was groovy😄Definitely stop in when you're in town, I know I will!!

Great food with lots of fun

The food was delightful. I had a vegan taco salad and it was great. Our waitress was an older lady who went out of her way to make our meal an event not just a meal.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Reasonable price

Cons: Limited seating
