Worth a try - Edit
Very cozy place with a small lunch menu. I tried curry which was rather unique tasting but a bit bland. Coffee and cake were nice but nothing outstanding. Although it's great to have such a 100% vegan place, considering the smallish size of portions and a bit high price, 4/5 from me.

Healthy and delicious, small portions - Edit
I had the ateate lunch plate and a strawberry raw cake with black tea. It was delicious and healthy, and you can tell it is carefully prepared. There was pickled radish, cabbage, tofu pockets with mashed potato in them, lotus root, bean sprouts, potato salad and then brown and black rice, as well as a clear veggie soup with some mushroom and veggies in it.
Read moreThe restaurant interior is cozy, and probably seats around 20 people in total, with some tables, couches and one larger centre table. Last order for lunch is 2:30 and after that its just cake and tea.
Only complaint is the sizes are small for the price of the lunch set (1550 yen) and
Pros: All vegan, Healthy, Tasty
Cons: Small portions, Expensive , Not open for dinner on weekdays

Great experience. The only late lunch was delicious, if just a little small. The service is quick and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Relaxing Cafe Serving Tasty Vegan Food - Edit

Read moreOteate is a vegan cafe a few minutes from HigashiYamaKoen station. It’s a bit out from the city center (about 5-6 stations), but the quality of food and relaxing environment are worth the trip.
For lunch sets, you can choose between an assorted plate (5-6 mini dishes), a curry with a choice of 2-3 mini dishes, or cold noodles. The lunch is only served until 2:30pm. The rest of the day is for desserts and drinks.
This sesame cold noodles is topped with mince, tomato, carrot, cucumber, sprouts and a scoop of mayo on the side. Mix all the ingredients in with the sesame dressing is the way to go. The noodles are chewy and not too soft. Well seasoned and delicious.
This cherry cake uses a sponge cake based with cream and candied cherries on top. Another dessert I had is this vegan ice cream.
As they don't have an English menu, I've translated part of the menu here.
Pros: All vegan, Relaxing atmosphere, Good food and service

Delicious food and delightful atmosphere - Edit
Oteate might be a little farther out of the city center, but it is definitely worth the little subway ride. We ordered the set meal that came with soup, rice, and a macrobiotic-style plate. We also ordered blueberry pie and peach mousse pie. Everything was absolutely delicious! And the restaurant itself is lovely and peaceful inside. I highly recommend Oteate!

Cozy and delicious. - Edit
The cafe has a nice variety of seating and great music playing in the background. The set meal was very tasty, but the dessert was my favorite. This was really nice to get away from the city center.

Lovely atmosphere - Edit
Visited a couple of days ago and enjoyed a delicious lunch set that included a plate with lots of veggies and pickles, a soup, brown rice and tea. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful despite my limited Japanese! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food - Edit
We went to Oteate for a big family dinner back last fall, and I can't begin to describe how amazing it was! We had a course dinner. The staff was very kind and attentive throughout the dinner in the most non-invasive way. The food was obviously prepared with so much love and care and tasted incredible!

Nice restaurant🌼 - Edit
It is a very cozy place, great for lunch, dinner or coffee with friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. It has super nice music to talk to. The service is excellent, we arrived outside lunch hours and even then prepared a meal for me and my husband. The price is right and for sure I will be back again.

I normally can’t take deep fried dishes, but I have no problem with hers. She use a selected top quality food with love, and I trust what she serves (not many I could trust like this !!!)
