Great vegan option in a very omni place - Edit
The restaurant looks beautiful, traditional and especially attracts omnis with little breads with all kinds of spreads and hams they have in their bar.
Read moreI found one vegan option: pasta with vegetable ragu, dried tomatoes and a kind of pesto. It is normally with a whole wheat pasta but I asked for gluten free pasta and had it with gluten free spaghetti instead.
It looks simple but was extremely tasty and delicious. It is pricey though.
Pros: Central , Good quality food , Gluten free pasta options
Cons: Pricey

Authentic Italian Food in Verona! - Edit
Great food and atmosphere! The restaurant is much bigger than you might assume at first glance. We were seated in a very cozy room upstairs. Our waiter was super nice and spoke English. Vegan options are clearly labeled on the menu. The Fusilli was super tasty, and the Pavlova was simply amazing! You have to try it. Our waiter confirmed with the kitchen that it is completely DAIRY / EGG FREE! Overal great experience! It is a bit expensive though.

The Pavlova, while marked vegan is likely not. - Edit
The rest of our meal was definitely vegan- we ordered the pesto and red turnip (beet) which was okay. It was well presented and cooked nicely, perhaps under salted. To finish our meal we ordered the Pavlova which was clearly marked as vegan. Upon receiving the dessert, it became obvious that it was a regular, non vegan pavlova with heavy cream and egg whites.

Not to be missed! - Edit
If you're vegan or gluten free in Verona, but with a group of omnis, this restaurant is a must visit. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and were happy to adapt dishes. Not many vegan options but what they do have is clearly marked on the menu and absolutely delicious. One of the best meals we had in Verona.

Three plant-based dishes - Edit
There are only three plant-based dishes on the menu. We didn’t try the dessert, but probably would next time.
We tried the chickpea burgers and spaghetti. I loved the spaghetti even I’m not a big fan of pasta and spaghetti in general, this one topped them all.
Pros: 3 vegan options
Cons: Only 3 vegan options in total

I think a vegetarian would be disappointed... - Edit
Caffe Monte Baldo does offer 2 vegetarian options, both of which are vegan. One is cabbage stuffed with mashed potato; the other is a bean soup. Both were bland and I struggled to finish mine. Many of the dishes contained donkey and horse meat. For this reason alone, I’m sorry we ate here.

Cons: Only 2 vegetarian dishes, Dishes were flavourless, Restaurant serves donkey & horse meat

Okay - Edit
It was great how clearly labelled vegan options were, but the vegetable meuillefeuille was basically just very oily, stacked vegetables. Lacking in flavour but okay. Wouldn’t have it again 🤷🏼♀️

Perfect if you go with non-vegetarians - Edit
The menu has many vegetarian and some vegan options, even a vegan dessert. I went there with non-vegetarian friends who wanted to try Verona’s specialties and we had a tasty and not expensive dinner. Everything is clearly labeled (lactose, gluten, vegan etc.). Also the wine is great!
