Heerlijke vegan opties - Edit
Hier hebben we echt heerlijk gegeten. Ze hebben meer dan genoeg vegan opties die ook heel gevarieerd zijn. Onze waitress (die overigens ontzettend aardig was) vroeg ons toen we twijfelden over een toetje of we haast hadden. Ze kon anders namelijk een vegan pastel de nata voor ons maken die niet op de kaart stond, maar dat zou wel ietsje langer duren. Daar zijn we voor gegaan en die was echt heerlijk!

Das kleine aber gemütliche Restaurant bietet einige vegane Optionen. Wenn man fragt, so wie es auf der Karte empfohlen wird, dann kann auch etwas veganisiert werden. Es gibt zum Beispiel veganen Käse. Die Guacomole und die Chilisaucen sind seeeehr gut. Wir haben zu viert die Tagessuppe (ohne Bild) gegessen. Es war eine Kerbelsuppe, die ausgesprochen gut war. Dann haben wir mehrere Share-Gerichte bestellt. Alle gut, aber auch teuer. Das sind jedoch auch Inselpreise muss man sagen.

We had a great experience at Osorio. The food was very good and tasteful. The meals were creative composed. The lady who owned the place (also was serving us that night) shared her personal story which was inspiring and made sure the vega(n) options were ad hoc even more various. We loved the atmosphere (good various and chilled music and great ligting in the evening). They also served soy cappuccino with vegan pure chocolates.

The food we had here was very tasty and varied and the staff were very friendly. I had the roti, which was simple but very well flavoured and it came with an additional pumpkin curry that wasn't mentioned on the menu. Not a big portion, but then again it was one of the less expensive items on the menu. Highly recommended if you're in Ameland and you want to have good vegan food. I'm quite familiar with quite a few types of foreign cuisines and the food here tasted quite authentic as far as I could tell! The jackfruit rendang wasn't how I know rendang and the jackfruit itself sadly wasn't pressed or anything, so the potential meat-substitute was served as just fruitlike pieces of in a curry. Tasty nevertheless, because even just the rice was tasty on its own.

Good service and very tasty vegan food - Edit
Having had a struggle for a few days on a quest for vegan food on Ameland, I ended up here. It was a welcome experience to get a decent vegan meal and several options to choose from.
Read moreI ordered the peanut soup and the Maroccan lentil stew. Both were really great. The stew was served in a traditional Tajine.
They also offered to make me something outside of the menu if I wanted to come back some other time as well. I am really satisfied with the friendly service they provided and the willingness to try to make me something nice to eat.
