Great Café Options

I love a good co-op and Oryana doesn’t disappoint! The bonus was the cafe area that offers freshly-made sandwiches and wraps. There were several 100% options and I was told their gluten-free bread & gf wraps are vegan too. We got the tempeh reuban and the farmers wrap. Then we grabbed a double chocolate vegan gf cookie and sesame kale salad from the grab & go area near the checkout. We ate at their outside seating area, which was lovely. Indoor seating is available too.

Pros: Pleasant Dining Areas , Easy To Modify Order, Several Vegan Options

Cons: Few Condiment Options, Toxic Salt Packets, Busy

My favorite store

Huge variety of foods, lovely produce and always as much local produce as possible. Vegan items throughout the store. It would be nice if there were a few more vegan choices in the prepared foods. #Veganuary

Pros: Variety, Beautiful produce, Local items

Vegan Haven!

I just went here for groceries and was pleasantly surprised with the variety/options. Although the prices are higher than your typical Meijer or Kroger, you also have the option of purchasing products that are locally sourced from Traverse City, MI. Instead of paying $4 for Organic Greens, I paid $6 for Organic Greens that were from a local farm. They try to support as many local businesses as they can and it provides a great sense of community. The store also has great hot food/premade food options. I was able to buy a Vegan Wild Rice & Tofu Salad, as well as pre marinated tofu (curried and smoked). It has your typical vegan products, but also offers many items in a “zero waste” option. Minimal packaging, recyclable materials etc… Overall, it’s a great place to find groceries and premade food, especially for vegans😄

Came back to the cafe for lunch and ordered the Dill Tofu Wrap. It is splendid. Light flavor, and large quantity, this wrap will not disappoint.

Excellent!

We stopped at Oryana several times during our stay in TC. We got some grab-n-go deli items for a picnic, we had hot soup on another visit, and freshly made sandwiches another time. We also picked up local fresh produce for meals in our airbnb. Everything we bought was fresh and healthy. Lots of vegan stuff and a great selection of local craft beer singles. Everyone should shop here!

A Treasure Trove

Oryana was a lifesaver!! The only spot with vegan options open for breakfast on a Monday morning that we could find in TC. Clean, airy cafe with several vegan options and friendly employees who understand vegan. And the grocery store!!! Omg like the most well-stocked Whole Foods I’ve ever seen. We picked up supplies for our trip (a loaf of fancy local bread - the only vegan one I could find! 😅, plant milks, vegan pancake mix, a jar of vegan ‘Nutella’ and more). You can find pretty much anything your vegan heart desires here!

There are several marked vegan options on the daily-changing cafe menu. I tried their veggie burger and the Ultimate smoothie minus honey, both fresh and delicious. We picked up some grab-and-go sandwiches (these were so delicious!!), salads, a vegan burrito from the hot bar and smoothies to go, and enjoyed them as a picnic lunch after our hike at the Empire Bluff trail later that afternoon. A perfect day!

Pros: Incredible variety at the grocery - stock up here!

Cons: Pricey! My loaf of bread was $11 😳

Wow!

We couldn’t find an eat-in breakfast spot with vegan options. We did grab and go the previous night at Oryana after day long bike ride (delicious options!), so decided to return. Breakfast burrito was very good and the minestrone was excellent—both vegan/vegetarian. We ended our visit with shopping for items from the grocery that are hard to find at home. Definitely plan to reconnect with this co-op!

Pros: Lots of vegan/vegetarian/fresh options, Extensive health supplements , Option to join co op

Cons: Can be expensive , No discount unless one belongs to co op

Absolutely love their vegan foods, health/well-being products, and beer/wine selection. Wish they would go 100% vegan though.

Lots of vegan options

They have a great variety of clearly marked prepared vegan foods and baked goods. I got a veggie sandwich on everything bagel. Very yummy! Vegan breakfast burrito is okay - mostly scrambled bland tofu. Baked goods are good too.

Pros: Great variety

LOVE THIS PLACE!

We recently visited Traverse City and checked out Oryana cafe and market after finding it here on Happy Cow. We were in heaven!!!! It's the most favorite place in Traverse City! Lots of vegan options helped us find delicious food for our dinner at the hotel. My husband is disabled and is too tired to go out at dinnertime. While we were there, we had a wonderful lunch. We were able to visit twice, and the prices are much better here than our local grocery store. Sure would love to have this market in my neighborhood!

Pros: Nice cafe with cheerful employees, great food, affordable prices

Cons: It's a 5-hour drive from home!

Tons of vegan options!

Wow- I would eat here every single day on vacation. Lots of pre-made options, made-to-order sandwiches and wraps. 3 of 4 soups were vegan. We had the tempeh reuben, spicy peanut wrap and a veggie melt. We took it to go for a picnic and it was perfect!

Pros: Overwhelmed with vegan options!, Grocery shop while waiting for food

Cons: Not speedy prep unless getting pre-made

We shop here quite often. Organic and local. Some not organic. Plenty of sales. Staff very friendly. Favorites of mine are bulk, coffee and produce. Senior discount days, rebates for members, and end of year cash credit. Great shopping experience.
