good for a snack

Nice place for a small snack, but a bit crowded. We tried churros as well as horchata and the chocolate (with water instead of milk). They were the best churros I've ever eaten. The staff speak poor english and we had 3 different waiters, none of them understood us until we were able to order by the 4th.

Did you order the chocolate with water instead of milk or is it regularly made with water? ☺️

We ordered it with water. The standard is with milk.

Nice snack

Really neat spot, but very touristy, so service is more rushed than typical in Spain (you pay when you order and seem expected to leave right after you finish). We asked if there was chocolate “sin leche” and were told they could make it with water (called chocolate frances on the receipt) but no plant based milk alternatives. Churros, chocolate, and horchata were good, a nice snack.

Pros: Churros con chocolate sin leche, Neat historic building

Cons: Rushed service

Nice place to sit and watch the world go by

Got a table outside and ordered a horchata and churros. Due to some miscommunication I got a sweetened horchata, it was nice but I would recommend asking for unsweetened and adding sugar to your liking. The churros were ok. I asked about the chocolate and the waitress said it wasn't vegan.

Very bad, rude staff.

Super unfriendly and annoyed about the question if there’s a vegan option for the chocolate. Wouldn’t recommend to go there at all.

Rude

We went here twice and ignored the fact that they were rude the first time.

Got the tiger nut milk which was interesting - very earthy but also too sweet. We also got the churros which were just plain, good but needed some sweetness.

We wanted to try them again with the vegan chocolate but the lady said it was not possible and I even asked her in Spanish.

She straight mugged us from the moment we walked in so not surprised they wouldn’t make the chocolate vegan.

They should just keep their offerings consistent.

Vegan churros and horchata!

We love this place! It was located next to our air BNB so my husband and I went there almost everyday for breakfast or as a dessert option. The staff is knowledgable on what vegan is. For all the times that we have been there (mornings and close to closing time), they were able to make chocolate dipping sauce without milk for us. The chocolate dipping sauce was pretty good but too sweet for us. We love the churros with a little bit of sugar sprinkled on top of it and dipping the churros into our tiger nut milk horchata!😄Best combo ever!

Pros: Best churros, vegan friendly , affordable

Good spanish desserts

Churros and horchata are really good. It's a pity you can't have hot chocolate, with which churros are usually served, with vegetable milk. Otherwise costs a little high, but the place is worth it.

Okay

Delicious orxata and churros

The orxata and churros are great for Valencia dessert/snack. They told us there was no vegan dipping chocolate however we arrived 30mins before closing and they seemed to want us out of there quickly. Churros were not made fresh due to this but still tasted good.

Vegan churros

Saw the vegan choco on the app but they make it look like they only want to make the vegan choco when they are in the mood for it lol. They weren’t today so they gave us churros with out the choco sauce even after asking. Pretty place though just bad service…😒

Spanish breakfast

I think this place does not even have a menu. We just wanted something simple but most of all churros. Had them without the chocolate as it is made with milk. I had never tried these and they were delicious and crispy. My husband had the toast with tomatoes.

Pros: Lovely traditional decor, Nice and quiet at breakfast time when we visited

Cons: Can be busy at other times.

Authentic churros and chocolate

The normal chocolate they provide for churros isn’t vegan but if you ask they will provide you with chocolate made with water instead of milk which is still good!

Pros: Can provide vegan chocolate , Staff know what items are/aren’t vegan

Cons: Expensive , Noisy as all hard furnishings

Wow! We thought we knew churros…

but ordering the real deal in Valencia taught us a real lesson in having our expectations blown away.

☕️ Unlike their counterparts in the Americas, traditional Spanish Churros are made from a vegan-friendly recipe, as is the dipping chocolate in this particular restaurant, which they make with water. The churros were the right balance of crispy and doughy, not too greasy and tasted amazing. The sauce was thick, rich and very moorish, we finished the whole thing off!

🥛 Horchata (Orxata) is a sweet and refreshing beverage, traditionally made from Tiger Nut (chufa) and so is again completely vegan-friendly. This drink definitely surprised us, and tasted a little like we expect a Brazil nut milk would.

All in all we loved our visit and would definitely recommend a visit (or two or three) next time you’re in Valencia.
