Great Experience - Edit
Had a really great time going to the early show and enjoying some food and drinks. They have some small bites that seem to rotate.
Read moreSome things to note:
Their website seems a bit out of date. The drink menu is a little different then what is posted online (no more eggs). They also say they are a no-cover Jazz club but we had a 5$/person cover charge - no special event or anything. They also had a small sign when you walk in stating a two drink minimum, but this wasn’t enforced. They are also happy to make mocktails if that is your thing.
They have just a couple of interesting seats where a lot of people ended up standing listening to the 2 hour set. I recommend to get there early if you want to sit or have a larger group.
They started to pass around the food menu about 45 minutes into the show. You order and pay for the food directly with the chef who is working at the corner of the bar. We were happy with the food and liked the variety of bar foods.

Cool spot but the arepas were really hard to eat - Edit
The music was great and they have a really good happy hour special but the vegan arepas I got were really tough and chewy. Empanadas were good!

Very Vegan Jazz Bar in Brooklyn - Edit
Owner's (meat eating loser) wife (vegan superstar) is a vegan chef who transforms this place from an adorable social live jazz bar in Brooklyn that I would have never walked into otherwise, into a fantastic five star vegan culinary consortium of casual and creative cooking from around the globe. Stunning.
Read moreTried all three of the items from the daily menu while soaking in the sounds of the early show and the coolest upright cello routine I've ever watched in person. Music is no-cover and meals are incredibly economically priced proving this is a mission oriented labor of love. Amazing. This type of feature is what makes New York a great place. Unmissable.
Pros: black, vegan, family owned, vegan chef and owner, live freakin jazz
Cons: owner's husband is a willful animal abusing loser

Upright cello?

Yes, like the opposite of a down-wrong cello. I don't know enough about stringed instruments to know if it's an upright bass or a violoncello-- so I merged the two. Viola!! 😁😁😁
