Agreed with the other reviewers that the vegan options are a bit limited. Usually there is a vegan pastry or two, but there is risk they are sold out if you pop by later in the day (which has happened to me a few times). Their coffee is decent and they use Oatly for oat milk! It's very conveniently located near Kings Cross / St. Pancras / British Museum. If you are trying to choose between something like Starbucks, Pret, etc., and this place, then I'd suggest going here for coffee. It is a tight squeeze inside!

Small, friendly coffee shop, situated right next to the British Library.
Read moreI had a bit of time to kill before my train home, so popped in for a coffee and an orange, almond cookie, both of which were decent.
Not a great deal of vegan options here though, and sitting inside was uncomfortable when it got busy.

Best oat cappuccino… ever - Edit
Big up to the barista (dark hair, female presenting) who made me an oat cappuccino the other day, she rules. Literally the best coffee i’ve ever had, I keep telling people about it. Not sure if they were using a special blend for the Chinese new year?

Only potential critiques could be that they only have one (small) drink size, could do more gluten free food, and they are on the more expensive side, but so worth it for that real good coffee.

Situated near the British Library (and also you can get to it going entirely under covered routes when it's raining!) Origin is a really convenient option for a quick coffee and cake.
Read moreMaybe I got unlucky with the pastries mentioned as there were no vegan ones when I went, but there were a couple of cookie options and a cake too. Lots of plant milks available.
Had a cookie and an oat milk cappuccino and both were nice. Came to £5.80 which is okay, especially as I stayed quite a long time. Music quite pleasant and you can watch the rainy world go past outside.

Vegan pastries and drinks - Edit
I was delighted to find a couple of vegan pastries, a vegan muffin, and vegan milks at this small stand in The British Library. I had a very nice apricot almond danish with flaky pastry. Delicious, and the staff member working was very kind and helpful.
