We eat here often - Edit
They have several vegan options. We’ve tried their General Tso Tofu, vegan sushi burrito, curries, Jade delight and a few other stir fry’s. The food is always delicious, and served super fast. They have made mistakes in telling us what was or wasn’t vegan in the past, but I think that server is long gone. We do specify that we are vegan every time to be safe.

Cauliflower is not vegan, still options - Edit
The Bang Bang Cauliflower is not vegan! We were told it was the first time we went and ordered it multiple times after, until on one visit the server asked if we were vegan and informed us that is has dairy in it. The Singapore curry noodles are a go to and very delicious, just specify you want no egg and vegan. The vegan sushi burrito is good but overpriced for just a small sushiritto.

Cons: Expensive , Told the wrong information about vegan options , Need to specify vegan each time

Great experience and food - Edit
My partner and I enjoyed one of our best meals in Bangor here. We ordered the Asparagus Sushi Roll, Lettuce Wraps (subbed tofu), Bang Bang Cauliflower and Seaweed Salad with Oolong Iced Tea. It was all delicious and our server was great, very conscientious about making sure our order was vegan. Lovely room, too.

Cons: Weird mall location but worth it!

Good, but one note entrees - Edit
Oriental Jade recently renovated their restaurant, and the interior is lovely and inviting. All of the staff working here are pleasant and accommodating as well. They serve Bangor beer company beer and have a full bar. There is outdoor seating, which looks inviting for warm weather. I enjoy their sushi quite a lot, but their selection for vegetarians and vegans could be larger. They have a lot of entrees for vegans and vegetarians, but I found the flavor to not be diverse and to not include a broad variety of vegetables. It could be what I ordered, though. I got the General Tso’s tofu, which was mostly tofu, with a bit of steamed broccoli on the side. My husband’s noodle bowl was tasty, but served over white rice, rather than noodles.

nice options, just ask - Edit
I've now eaten twice at OJ, and have been sufficiently pleased each time with the vegan options. Although not noted on the menu, the servers were easily able to confirm which sauces, soups, and dishes were or could be made vegan. My favorite was the Jade Delight with tofu, which was spicy to my liking. The first time we at at OJ was on a Sunday for lunch, and the portions that day were huge and amounted to takeaway for another meal from each dish. The second time was for midweek lunch, and the portions were also large but not as ginormous as the first time. I like the "healthy multigrain rice", which is brown rice with a few small red beans mixed into the scoop. We will be back whenever we are in Bangor!
