Great food and large portions - Edit
The buffalo cauliflower wrap was soooo good and very filling. I would definitely recommend it. The Mediterranean bowl was also very delicious.

Mushy and missed the mark - Edit
I ordered a meatball sandwich, black bean empanada, and iced chai latte with oat milk. The sandwich had potential, but it was so soggy even the ciabatta fell apart. The texture was pretty nasty. The pepper and onion sauce was good, but they barely put any sauce on it. That might've been to spare the bread from breaking under further weight and sogginess though. The black bean empanada I had to throw out almost immediately. I can't describe the flavor, but it was bland and had a weird distinctive smoke flavor at the same time. The chai latte was the best part of my meal, but it was incredibly average. I wish I had saved my $27.

A Vegan Oasis - Edit
This area of Connecticut doesn't have many good places for vegans to eat, so I really appreciate Organika Kitchen. The location is nicely designed and clean, and the menu is expansive. They have everything from pasta, to beyond burgers, to pizza, and more. I'll definitely be back.

Top notch - Edit
This is one of my favorites. Wide variety of fresh, vegan dishes. Ranging from breakfasts and smoothie bowls to wraps and pizzas, as well as some killer desserts and coffee drinks. Healthy and flavorful, although on the expensive side and with very limited parking. I especially like the Buffalo cauliflower wrap, vurrito, and key lime pie.

Great options! - Edit
Had a hard time choose just what to order
Read moreLoved the buffalo cauliflower wrap- just the right amount of buffalo sauce and the cashew cheese was such a great creamy compliment to the kick of the sauce
We split a mushroom quesadilla - it was tasty but fell apart easily
And hubby had a meatball sandwich. He loved the sauce and pesto, but the meatballs themselves were a bit dry. But tasty nonetheless, I resisted ordering a sweet great but definitely will next time

high-quality mostly-organic fast-casual vegan food at reasonable prices - Edit
My first taste of Organika was at its Ridgefield location, unfortunately now closed. The menus were almost identical. But this Southport location has no seating inside, and the prospect of eating outdoors on its uncomfortable chairs perched alongside traffic-clogged Route 1 is unappealing. Really, it is set up just for takeout here.
Read moreYesterday was my second time “doing” takeout from Southport. The Asian Stir-Fry veggies bowl is a large array of perfectly prepared veggies atop a bed of tamari -flavored brown rice. It was excellent both times. Yesterday, my Plant Burger was just as good. While the fixings could be improved, the burger itself ranks way high up there with best veggie burgers I know. To fully appreciate the burger, I removed the it from the fixings, with a knife and fork cut the burger into 8 wedges, and savored each wedge, 8 luscious mouthfuls. My friend liked his (baked, not deep-fried) felafel tabouli salad the first time, and his felafel pita sandwich the second time.
I like that the online menu gives you the option of omitting or at a surcharge adding ingredients (I added tempeh to my Stir Fry, nice!), but what truly impresses me about the entire menu is its outstanding nutritional quality. No deep-fried foods, that other eateries disguise with the name “crispy.” Only one dish with a mock meat such as Beyond Burger, and only one with tofu. Everything else is whole grains, whole beans, and wholesome vegetables. Too many other all-vegan eateries offer almost nothing but fried foods and mock meats and friend mock meats, so that I find as little worth eating there as at conventional carnivorous eateries. Too many other all-vegan eateries serve nothing but vegan non-food for vegans who wish they weren’t. Organika is not that. Organika is real food for real vegans.
Inviting clean décor inside, interesting architecture outside, and a solidly nutritious menu all are good foundations, but for a takeout place its tiny parking lot with perpendicular parking along the side of the building is perilous. You risk crashes when backing out onto the street where you can’t see oncoming rushing traffic. Do not park there! Instead, park in front of the building on the shoulder of Post Road. Such parking is illegal, which is why they can’t tell you to park there. But I guess I can, because I just did.
Pros: the highly nutritious (and delicious!) food
Cons: the parking

My favorite vegan spot - Edit
As a student at Fairfield u, I need food on the go or a quick meal after classes. This is by far my favorite vegan place ever. I would always pick up their mac salad and sausage egg and cheese which is perfection. I also love the pizza. Everyone is so kind there.

Good food, horrible parking - Edit
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried. I love their chickpea tuna. I deducted a star for their parking situation. I choose other places over Organika for this reason. They have street parking and a tiny little parking lot with 4 spots but backing out is so dangerous. Not to mention, all the spots are usually taken.

Great Vegan spot - Edit
Everything here is 100% vegan. So much variety in terms of food and especially smoothies and juices. This has been one of the best vegan spots I've found in Fairfield county so far. I have a tree nut allergy and the people there were super accommodating to make sure my food wasnt contaminated or anything. Super cute aesthetic on the inside, food tastes great.

Good casual option - no real seating - Edit
Enjoyed our meals. Between us we had a nourish bowl, a smoothie bowl and a quesadilla. Everything was tasty; the smoothie bowl was smaller than ones we’ve had elsewhere and not sufficiently filling for a lunch or dinner. We will be back but not as often as we would if there was actual seating. There are three benches (no tables with these, one loveseat, and three high tables (no chairs). Food to go is your best option here.

Nice - Edit
I had to double-check with the staff that they were solely vegan because they appeared on both the vegetarian and vegan sections of HappyCow. I had the southwest bowl (added both the tofu and seitan). I like that it was a good amount of food (think Chipotle-sized), but it lacked seasoning to me. It is a cute place for carry-out, as it isn't really a restaurant that you could sit down and eat inside with some friends. If you're in the area, check it out.
