Really cool store - Edit
A *lot* of produce, more or less fancy, a big bulk section, fresh stuff that's a bit expensive in my memory, and a cabinet with some nice vegan eats! Plus I think they have soup or other takeaway meals of that kind.

Excellent organic supermarket - Edit
Village Organics has been around some time. Because it is not in my side of town, I had not visited for a while and was pleasantly surprised when I went there today. It has a very comprehensive selection of organic fresh fruit and vegetables as well as organic canned, bottled and packaged goods, bins of dried goods and organic baking. In addition, it has a wide range of vegan small goods - frozen or chilled - coconut yoghurts, vegan cheeses (including soy free), vegan sausages etc. not all of these are certified organic, but carry certifications from vegan and/ or vegetarian organisations. A range of gluten free products is also carried. A small selection of organic meats is secreted away in a freezer. Hamilton no longer has an organic butchery, so no doubt omnivores would welcome this cruelty free option!
