Health food/lifestyle shop with a range of healthy foods, body care products and natural medicines. Its cafe closed in 2020 after the move from 4a/2 Murray St. Reported closed August 2023.
Wow, great food and the service is delightful. For us sensitive souls who tap into the vibe preparing our meals, Organic Belly has the foodyzen factor. It's worth travelling for and you can't leave without trying the amazing organic choc coated (huge) freshly picked strawberries! Salad Bowl is divine! Luckily I'm local - I'll be back! January 2020
On my way through Port Macqurie I decided to have a look at Organic Belly since it’s listed as vegetarian.
On the menu I saw that they were serving bone broth so I decided to leave. I asked the person who was there whether the place was vegetarian but he didn’t seem to understand. I have since contacted Organic Belly but have had no reply.
It might be organic but not fully vegetarian so it shouldn’t be listed as such. It was a big disappointment.
Many cafe's are lucky to have one or two vegetarian options, very few have organic food. I haven't seen a vegetarian only cafe on the NSW coast - would love the heads up if you found one? I was there in Jan 2020 and didn't see bone broth on the menu.. but most health food stores (Organic Belly's origin and still part of their business) sell organic bone broths and many even have organic meat in the freezer. This market segment continues to grow..
Saw this on Happy Cow amd so glad we went. The guy asked us what we would like for breakfast and made it with fresh ingredients there and then. Also happens to be a beautiful shop so I was able to stock up on cruelty free supplies. Highly recommend!
