Best Place in NYC - Edit
Vegan grocery store where you don't have to worry about checking labels. And everything is free from palm-oil. They also have macarons and cookies from Sweet Maresa's and Gem Bakery, respectively. Plus the most amazing doughnuts from Peaceful Provisions on Sundays. Fully vegan deli with sandwiches, salads, mac'n'cheese, and soft serve ice cream.

Fantastic shop/cafe - Edit
As an out of towner I can’t comment too much on the actual products on offer in the shop but they were varied, from lots of brands I recognise and seemed reasonably priced.
Read moreThe real attraction for me was bagels and sandwiches - specifically the Reuben. Something I have long missed as a vegan of a few years now. This is the first place I’ve found vegan pastrami and oh boy was it worth the wait. Full of flavour and so much of it! This place knows how to make a sandwich. Well worth a visit if you’re in NYC.
Pros: Sandwiches to die for, Wide range of vegan products , Well priced

Awesome little shop, so many goodies, specially cheese! - Edit
Saw this place recommended on a YouTube channel, so popped in briefly during my NYC visit. Awesome! I would like to try so many of their groceries, they have loads of really special stuff you cannot buy elsewhere, many kinds of vegan cheese in particular. Also, a cruelty-free shoe store is just next door!
Read moreI cannot judge their take-away food much since I only tried one sandwich. I was surprised there were only proteins inside, no vegetables. This happened to me multiple times in North America - perhaps it's a common thing there. For me it was kinda disappointing since I always expect at least some basic vegetables in a sandwich😡Their bowls and salads looked nice though.
Pros: Great selection

Vegan grocery heaven - Edit
A vegan grocer? I’m shook, as the kids say! It’s a small store but incredibly well stocked! So many familiar vegan brands, as well as unfamiliar smaller ones. I bought way more than I intended to because there’s just so much temptation. There’s a good variety of healthy plant-based foods, as well as junk vegan food.
Read moreThere’s a grocery section, as well as a counter for prepared foods. The grocery section has a little bit of everything: cheese, meat, snacks, sauces, baking items, jams, seasonings, etc. The counter has delicious sandwiches, bagels, ice cream, and more. I ordered the lox bagel, which comes with cream cheese, capers, and of course “lox” made from carrots. It was amazing! I can finally have my favorite meal as a vegan 😊
The adjoining store is Moo Shoes so if you’re in the mood to shop for cruelty-free clothing and shoes, you can do so while you wait for your prepared food.

good little spot - Edit
i usually go there to get some good vegan alternatives... cheese, sauces, spices, jerky. so it’s good for “new” vegans. i do still check all the ingredients, because a lot of their snacks are very processed and have canola oil, gums, or other ingredients i stay away from.
Read morei am not big on sandwiches but thought i would give it a try and really loved, the rocko (basically a BLT). I even at like half of ny husband’s, the monty.
Pros: all vegan, delicious sandwiches
Cons: a lot of plastic packaging , many “unhealthy” snacks / ingredients

That croissant with just egg, creamy Hollandaise, and bacon...my moth is watering already just by thinking about it. This place is seriously a must. Every single sandwich I have tried there has been amazing and their soft serve is fantastic too!

Delish breakfast sandwich - Edit
As others have mentioned this is a wee takeaway place with amazing bagels and sandwiches, only 4 stools for sitting. Me and my Omni partner went at 9.30am on a weekday and it was super nice and quiet so we could easily sit as no one else there.

Quite a place - Edit
The Miles. Holy moly that is the definition of comfort food. Most expensive sandwich on their menu, but worth it to try at least once. Literrally every ingredient in the sanwich is a mock ingredient, and every single one is delicious, notably the egg, which they season super tasty and IMO has a pretty spot-on texture. My non-vegan gf tried and and was also impressed, especially by the cheese. They also have an excellent selection of vegan products. So much cheese. Finally got to try Violife, made it on a grilled cheese and it was excellent.

A Vegan Must-Visit!! - Edit
If you're visiting NYC and you're a vegan, you CANNOT leave without visiting this place. It's a vegan's paradise: made-to-order food, soft-serve ice cream, and unique vegan products galore! On my last visit, I was able to try The Edith (bagel, house-made cashew cream cheese, carrot lox, capers, chives) and the peanut butter soft-serve with caramel. For those who need to eat gluten free, they have a designated Celiac-friendly food preparation space, which is awesome. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu, but that's a goal for next time, lol.

a huge fan ! - Edit
I am absolutely a regular as orchard grocer! it’s about a 15 minute walk from my apartment, and whenever I have free time, I wander over just to see if they have any new vegan products to try, or what the special for that day is! it’s absolutely amazing walking into a store and not having to read every single ingredient on a label. they have some amazing sandwiches to order (deli style, as there isn’t much seating inside) plus some treats (most notably donuts that typically sell out within a few hours). I looove this place - my only criticism is that I wish they had more space for more indoor seating and more vegan products !!

Love all the products they stock - it’s so nice to enter a store and not read all the ingredients to figure what’s vegan! Their sandwiches are so amazing and we can’t wait to try their soft serve.

Best vegan breakfast! - Edit
We were staying in NYC for a few days and were looking around for somewhere to get a good vegan breakfast. Lots of great options for lunch/dinner, but breakfast was difficult. Luckily we found this place! The Miles sandwich with just egg and the Bowery sandwich with tofu were both so good! I love just egg and was so happy to find a restaurant that uses it for sandwiches. We actually came back a second time because it was so good.

The ultimate bagel - Edit
As a vegan and a carb lover, I couldn’t have dreamt of a better place to satisfy my cravings. I bet non-vegans or those missing the “regular” stuff will also leave delighted; basically all items on the menu are veganised versions of famous American foods and a vast array of vegan cheeze, mock meats or sweets (including soft serves and pastry!) can be found. Located in truly charming surroundings, it is also visually pleasing inside and outside

Excellent place - Edit
This is an excellent vegan grocery/deli, with a bunch of faux meats/cheeses and the like. You can counter order sandwiches for takeout, or for eating on a couple of stools. This is not for fine dining, not super-healthy or gourmet or cheap. On the other hand, the food is tasty, nicely priced, and a real treat.

A visionary deli grocer - Edit
Everyone should come to this establishment. All the food is fair trade and meets the highest ethical standards. No palm oil, all sustainably harvested foods. They have all the vegan grocery items you could dream about (soy curls, Worcestershire sauce, Dandies, etc.), so it’s a treat to go, as well as to visit the attached shoe store next door. The deli sandwiches are amazing! I bought mine a few hours before a picnic with friends and it was delicious. It looks s incredible as it tastes.
