The best lentil soup I ever had! - Edit
Don't miss eating here when you're in Norfolk! I had a wrap for lunch one day that was so big that I enjoyed half for another meal. I also went for dinner with a large group so had the opportunity to try lots of items from the vegan menu. The hummus and lentil soup were both extraordinarily good. The vegan bowls are large so a great choice if you are hungry. I thought the pizza was good but just like you might get somewhere else, not as amazing as the other vegan offerings.

The food here is delicious! I had the vegan chicken parm, and I really enjoyed it. Really big portions too, as it came with a salad too. There’s also so an entire page of vegan options, which is really nice!

Quaint restaurant in the heart of downtown Norfolk. Great Greek and Mediterranean with a separate vegan menu. The meats are Gardein, and Beyond. The cheese is Follow Your Heart. They even have a couple of vegan desserts.

Get the vegan gyro - Edit
Decent-sized vegan menu, but only the vegan gyro and chicken pita are *amazing,* IMO. The falafel is dry, the pasta is boring, and the pizza crust is kind of weird. But hey, unless you’re eating somewhere every night, who needs more than 1 or 2 amazing options? There are some vegan desserts too (I had a brownie on my birthday, and I *think* one time I even had vegan baklava!).

So many options - Edit
Orapax is the place to be if you need to please a mixed group of omni and veg folks. They have a huge vegan menu, with lots of Greek and Mediterranean style options, plus pizza, sandwiches, and burgers. From tzatziki and parmesan to chicken and beef, they have a vegan version of nearly everything. My go-to is the vegan Corfu chicken sandwich (don't snooze on the highly seasoned fries), with the vegan gyro pita or falafel wrap as solid alternate picks. If you order the pizza, beware that it's a very thick, crunchy crust. They have both a modern-looking bar area and a more traditional seating area.

Vegan goodness - Edit
Offered a vegan menu as soon as we walked in. Wait staff was very knowledgeable about the selections. A lot of vegan options to choose from: wraps, pizza, pasta and meatless dishes. Save 10% off of the vegan menu every Thursday.

shawarma and fresh chickn parm - Edit
I'm not a big fan of greek, but i tried the shawarma vegan bowl with vegan chickn. The menu says theres eggplant and a spicy cilantro sauce in it, which was what interested me most. Unfortunately, it wasnt spicy and only had 3 small pieces of eggplant. Theres no eggplant parm on the vegan menu but next time i go back, i may ask if they can make it. My friend got the vegan chickn parm which they said is completely made fresh. It took over an hour to get our food because of that. The waitress was nice enough to take it off the bill tho because of how long the wait was.

Go To Lunch Place! - Edit
This is mine and my wife’s go to place for Greek food! The atmosphere is light and airy, which makes it the perfect place to meet with friends and coworker for lunch! They offer a multitude of vegan friendly options and they are all delicious! Even my wife, who is a meat eater, gets their vegan gyro! I recommend this place to everyone!

Everything we ordered was far better than it needed to be. I’ve never had better hummus and pita. Love the clearly labeled vegan menu for easy ordering. I’ll be recommending this place to anyone and everyone I meet.

Fave place - Edit
I’ve been here countless times this year since I’ve discovered it and it never disappoints. My favorite things to get here is the vegan French toast (their brunch bar is incredible-not as many vegan options but still good!), vegan gyro, Athenian chicken wrap, and the Mediterranean burger. I still really need to try their pizza because I’ve heard nothing but great things. This place is also open late and in a cute area which is nice!

Great mix of traditional Greek and contemporary vegan! - Edit
Visiting Norfolk VA from out of town, I enjoyed a great dinner here this evening with four fellow vegan friends who live in the area. I was really impressed that a classic Greek restaurant, in business for over 50 years, has recently updated their menu with a full page of vegan options! The food was tasty and filling, the atmosphere charming, and the service friendly and efficient! Our table shared a plate of the Gigantes appetizer -- Elephant beans stewed in a light tomato sauce. I ordered the Corfu "Chicken" Sandwich topped with roasted red pepper, caramelized onions, and vegan cheese & tzatziki sauce. (The restaurant uses Hungry Planet as its chicken substitute, and Follow Your Heart or VioLife for cheese.) Yum!

Great Greek Food - Edit
Orapax is a hidden gem that’s been here for years. We heard recently that it had an extensive vegan menu, and it really delivered! Our family is a mix of vegans & omnivores, so we always appreciate restaurants that offer great vegan options as well as meat-based food. Everyone in our family was happy.
Read moreWe really appreciated that the entire back page of the menu was filled with a broad array of vegan options. Rather that being limited to a token vegan option or the opportunity to veganize something. There were multiple vegan appetizers, salads, wraps, burgers, pizzas, a pasta dish, chef special entrees, and desserts. We were overwhelmed with options! My vegan gyro was fabulous & my husband loved his pasta bowl. The vegan dolmades also were great. We really wanted to try the vegan baklava or brownie, but were too full. Servings were large, & we both have leftovers to enjoy for lunch.
We will return—for sure!
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Tasty food
