Big love! - Edit
A total gem on main street, obviously well loved by this community... and for good reason! Eclectic and homey, their all vegan menu features coffees & teas, pastries, and light fare all served up with a smile and a story. Big love there! Quality ingredients, ample portions, and deliciousness without being overly sweet (which I appreciate), and all for a very reasonable price.

Incredible selection of vegan baked goods including muffins, scones, cookies, and cinnamon rolls. The building itself is very homey. Definitely worth a stop!

Fantastic vegan restaurant and coffee shop. - Edit
Use my HappyCow app to find a place to pick up a snack to eat. Was expecting just to pick up a vegan tea and maybe a muffin and found so much more. They were so many desserts to pick from I ended up getting the chocolate scone, cranberry scone, three vegan cookies, chocolate covered nuts, hot latte and I found out that there were vegan wraps so I ordered two to go! Everyone who worked there and who was having coffee, there was super friendly. We would definitely go back again if we come back to this part of the country.

Nice but no lunch items - Edit
I’ll start by saying the cranberry almond scone was the best I’ve ever had, vegan or non-vegan. The peanut butter chocolate chip cookie was also excellent..I’d definitely stop here again for the pastries. Plus it was warm and welcoming and seemed like a good place to hang out.

The description of this coffee house on Happy Cow indicates they serve sandwiches, salads, and soups along with pastries. They don’t seem to. I spent a lot of time researching where we could have lunch on our way to Canada and chose Orange Cat based on the description. It took us almost two hours to get there and there were no lunch items. So, disappointed we didn’t get lunch but pastries were great
Pros: Wonderful scones, Nice environment

Cute coffee shop - Edit
All of the cookies are vegan. I tried a peanut butter-chocolate chip one and it was so good! They have a large drink menu, a few drinks, such as the chai, contain honey-but they were clearly labeled as such. They also offer a variety of non-dairy milks.

Delicious sandwich and baked goods - Edit
Very knowledgeable staff. All menu items are vegan-I asked the staff to be sure. Based on a recommendation here, I got the bistro sandwich with marinated tofu. It was outstanding! I also had a vegan chocolate chip cookie which was very large and also delicious! They were very busy when we went-about 9am on a Monday. They moved fast though!

Stopped in the other day, asked which of the pastries were vegan and all were. A few different types of muffins and scones. They also offer soy and almond milk. Cute spot to hangout in as well.

Favourite cafe! - Edit
The Orange Cat is wonderful. It serves delicious vegan muffins, scones and cookies (try the peanut butter chocolate chip). They also have sammiches and soups! They don't advertise themselves as vegan on their signage or anything like that so I was a bit confused at first as to what is vegan - but all the food is. They have dairy and nondairy milk (I think they charge extra for soy but its so affordable it hardly matters). They use Torani syrups -- not all of which are vegan btw. But lots are. They also have tons of flavoured coffee that is great as well! I love the Red Velvet Cake one. Both the food and drinks are wonderful. I really like taking my not-so-vegan-friendly friends here and watching them devour the muffins without realizing its vegan!
Read moreThe staff are super friendly and they seem to have a lot of regulars. They also have lots of outdoor seating for the summer.
My only complaint is I don't think they have wifi. Or at least anytime I've been it hasn't been up.
Pros: delicious, friendly staff, affordable
Cons: no wifi

A Vegan Oasis - Edit
When I come home from the DC area to visit family in Lewiston and Youngstown, the Orange Cat is my oasis for vegan food, muffins and good coffee. I sometimes go there twice a day, or just get my coffee, muffins (scones, cookies) and a sandwich to go for later all in the morning. The orange cranberry are the best muffins, but they are all amazing and ridiculously inexpensive compared to what you get in DC! I take everyone there and they agree that the muffins are amazing! My favorite sandwich is the tofu - I think it's called "the Bistro." I can't say enough good about Orange Cat and am so grateful they are in Lewiston!

Love Orange Cat! - Edit
Orange Cat is my refuge when I come home to WNY and visit my parents who live in Youngstown. I can connect to the world on the internet and since I have recently gone vegetarian, they have some great salads and sandwiches. I had their lentil soup and it was awesome! I will be back!
