Breakfast with river view - Edit
This cafe was close enough to our hotel and opens early to have breakfast. We tried granola with soy yogurt and a breakfast of toast with hummus and a soy meat patty, cappuccino and hot chocolate were among the drinks. Granola is delicious, breakfast is probably a bit simple for those who are used to eating something more interesting for breakfast. The drinks are good. There were many foreigners and Japanese, the terrace was fully occupied. The place is cozy and credit cards are accepted.

Ate here twice - Edit
Really tasty food and great option for lunch. A little pricey but most vegan places are in Japan. I enjoyed the Optimus Bowl. We also had the Keema Bowl. You order on your phone. You can ask for inside or outside dining. Outside they provide blankets and there’s a lovely river view.

Amazing fried soy meat and healthy Buddha bowls - Edit
I had the fried soy meat plate and orange ginger soda. I finished off with the matcha brownie, served warm.
Read moreIt was all so delicious that I've been back a second time. This time having the seasonal Buddha bowl and a side of the fried soy meat.
Definitely worth a visit if you're close by.
It can be busy at lunch time so you may need to queue.

Get the French toast - Edit
I was so excited to see somewhere that opened early. I had the French toast and an oat milk coffee and my partner had the breakfast plate. The French toast was amazing. The cinnamon was the perfect amount added and I enjoyed the whipped cream. My oat milk coffee was a bit sweet for me. I don’t add sugar so I don’t know if the oat was sweet or if they add a sweetener. My partner didn’t think the vegan breakfast plate was amazing, but I’m rating it based on the French toast with 1 point off for the coffee.

We were staying nearby and went three times for breakfast. All good but the French Toast really stood out. They also do a good selection of smoothies.

Ordered the Optimus salad, which was really tasty and would recommend.
Read moreHusband ordered the wrap, which he didn’t rate too much. Lemonade was also a bit weird (hence the minus 1 star).
For me the price was very responsible. 21€ for two main meals, fries and two drinks…
Great view over the river😄

Nice - Edit
I went to Optimus Cafe today for lunch with my best friend and it was nice, she tried the Optimus bowl and the soy fried meat and I had a soy meat peta with truffle fries and a tiramisu for dessert.
Read moreEverything was good except for the smoothie my friend had for dessert the Be Beautiful because she didn't like the taste of beet in it but that's her preference more than the quality of the beverage.
Pros: Great plant based meats , Cosy
Cons: Far from a lot of things

Vegan bowls - Edit
They offer mainly vegan bowls. We got the Optimus bowl and the soy meat bowl and they were pretty similar besides the protein parts. The Optimus bowl came with an interesting corn fritter which was new to me. Healthy bowls.
Read moreThere are few tables on the terrace available; offers a nice river view.
Inside are more tables with air conditioning.
You see the menu and order via QR-code. It didn’t take long for our food to arrive. But later we ordered another drink and that took quite a while for being just a drink.

Genius - Edit
A beautiful cafe in such a pretty part of Osaka, sit inside in the cool AC or risk the heat outside for beautiful views of the river.
Read moreWe stayed across the road at the onsen so we went here a couple times and the biggest highlight which we didn’t get a pic of was the French toast. This place is worth 5 stars alone just for that. It was unreal, like it was actual egg fried French toast with cream and maple syrup. If you’re missing French toast since going vegan, you gotta try this spot.
Pros: French toast , Have a good day breakfast set , Location

Fried soy meat goodness! - Edit
So many great options to pick from! Friendly staff with badges to indicate English speaking staff. Nice view overlooking the river and the food is delicious! The buddha bowls looked great but we went for the fried soy meat sando and plate with corn fritters and fries and was very happy with the result! The pita gave me that sandwich feeling i’ve been craving and it didn’t disappoint.

After a few days eating street food I really appreciated some vegetables and a healthy option. We had a green kale salad, some corn fritters, a fried soy pieces bowl with veggies, and smoothies. It was all very tasty and good quality.

Could be better - Edit
Their service was wonderful, very lovely staff and maybe I just caught them on an off day however their pita was not good at all. It was overstuffed in a way to try and make it look photogenic but it made eating it unpleasant with giant clumps of carrot taking up your entire bite and the base of it was just lettuce. The flavour profile itself was also questionable. Pickled vegetables that were slightly spicy every few bites, soggy yet dry at the same time. Also the orange juice tasted powdered. The falafels alone as a side were wonderful though.

Awesome cafe with a great location at the river. The Optimus Bowl was amazing, so was the Matcha Latte. I appreciate that they even push the vegan message in their branding and even recommend documentaries on their menu 🫶
