All 3 were delicious, very fresh, beautifully presented and had great variety of salads, nuts, fruits, ... Loved it! And the bread, a specialty of Denmark is delicious too.
Friendly service, cosy place. Nice bonus was the focus on bicycles (some jerseys, hats, photos on the walls). And even a photo from Eddy Merckx! 😃🚴🚴♀️
A lot of outdoor places too, in a quiet traffic free street. Entrance with steps, so not accessible. Toilets clean, individual towels to dry ones hands, although all were used.
We had a lovely lunch! (And great blues music too 😉)

Love the fresh and healthy options at Onkel A’s. The håndmadder (open-faced sandwich) are creative and delish. I appreciate their use of micro greens, quinoa and beans along with fresh veggies. Prices are a bit high for the portion size for the håndmadder, need to order two for a filling meal. #Veganuary

Nice atmosphere, very fresh, and nicely presented on a wooden board. You can choose between håndmadder (the Danish smørrebrød) and sandwiches. Unfortunately they were out of sandwiches, but the håndmadder was really great! We got the one with ‘hippie’ topping.

I have booked table 2 weeks ago for a specific time and date. Staff was very rude and didn’t get the table as we were promised. We needed to wait too long and ended up leaving this place.
Read moreThe guy who owns this place is not very kind, if he could only explain normally and talk kindly we would be open to wait. Besides that he was talking in a very unpleasant tone and very loud, showing his attitude and the whole restaurant was watching us 😂. I mean!
Sorry buddy, you need to change your attitude. You aren’t a Michelin star restaurant. And with this level of kindness you don’t go far.

This is an amazing place and I can definitely recommend the brunch here! There are vegan, vegetarian and pescetarien options for salads, sandwiches, brunches and more on the menu. The vegan brunch was super rich and delicious!

Read moreTheir vegan brunch plate is healthy and colourful but I'm missing some more spreadable things for the lovely bread. It has lots of greens but some of it can get a bit dry. I appreciate that they add dark chocolate as substitute for the cake the non-vegan brunch comes with but it would be awesome with a vegan cake😉Very tasty and good-looking nonetheless.
The place tends to get quite busy and the wait for the food was long.
Pros: Healthy vegan brunch, Beautifully presented food, Vegan and vegetarian choices
Cons: Long wait, Vegan brunch could use a bit more hummus etc., Drinks are a bit expensive

There are 2 vegan versions of the sandwich and their take om the danish "håndmad" which is ryebread stacked with all sorts of goodnes. Also salads and depending on the time of day vegan brunch platter.

I had the brunch. Very delicious. A plus that they have food options for pescetarians, vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters. The place was packed when I visited, so table reservations would be a good idea.

It was the best salad of my life! It was so tasty and so healthy! Once I follow a Whole Food plant–based lifestyle, it couldn’t be more perfect! There was also a cold pressed juice with ginger, which was so tasty! The staff super welcoming and explaining everything! I would definitely come again!!

This was such a nice find and a perfect treat for my morning walk in Vejle. They serve vegetarian and vegan options and I naturally went for the vegan Brunch. I just love it when people don't visibly pull a face when I ask for my coffee with Soya milk, respecting my food choice and treating me like everyone else. While we waited for our Brunch we received a complimentary drink called Trylledrink filled with veggies and fruit. The friendly guy serving us said it's similar to the magic potions in Asterix & Obelix! We were not disappointed when our Brunch arrived. A artwork in itself too lovely to spoil but then again anticipation and hunger got the best of me. You have to eat this slowly to savor all the delicious components. Humus and olive spread for the tasty homemade bread potato salad, beans, lentils, Avocados, cherries .... the list is endless - even dark chocolate with a raspberry! Heavenly food you should not miss when coming to Vejle.
